  • Patent number: 11144884
Abstract: Systems and methods for reminding a user or a group of users about one or more items related to an upcoming event. The upcoming event is identified based on user data and a context for determining a list of items useful for the upcoming event is obtained. The list of items for the identified upcoming event is determined, using the context, and item reminder enhancement factors are determined in response to the upcoming event and the determined list of items. Content selection models are determined based on the context, the user data, and the item reminder enhancement factors. Conversational content for engaging the user or group of users is generated by applying the content selection models to a plurality of potential content. A conversation trigger signal is determined, and the conversational content is presented to the user via a computing device in response to receiving the conversation trigger signal.

  • Patent number: 11121990
Abstract: Embodiments for managing electronic communications by one or more processors are described. A status for each of a plurality of computing nodes associated with a user is computed. The status for each of the plurality of computing nodes is indicative of a predicted delay between an electronic communication being sent to the user through the respective computing node and the electronic communication being perceived by the user. One of the plurality of computing nodes is selected based on the computed statuses of the plurality of computing nodes. A signal representative of the selected one of the plurality of computing nodes is generated.

  • Patent number: 11087246
Abstract: Techniques facilitating cognitive route planning for unit replenishment in a distributed network are provided. In one example, a computer-implemented method can include determining, by a system operatively coupled to one or more processors, a time limit for unit replenishment at a unit dispensing device based on a unit depletion rate for the unit dispensing device. The computer-implemented method can also include generating, by the system, a route plan for the unit replenishment based on the unit depletion rate, the time limit, and respective unit depletion rates and respective time limits for other unit dispensing devices of a set of unit dispensing devices. The unit depletion rate can be based on historical and projected withdrawal data. Further, the unit dispensing device can be included in the set of unit dispensing devices located within a defined area. The time limit can indicate time remaining until the unit dispensing device is depleted of units.

  • Patent number: 11004325
Abstract: A peripheral device, e.g. a smart phone, receives information defining a secured area perimeter of a secure area and a global positioning system (GPS) about the location of a user. The process compares the security perimeter to the position information to determine whether a user is within the secured area. If the user is outside the secured area and has not returned an access device, e.g. a badge, a temporary pass, etc., the peripheral device posts an alert to the user, e.g. a warning the user may have forgotten to return the access device/badge. Alerts can be posted or sent for other conditions as well.

  • Patent number: 10956831
Abstract: In one embodiment, in accordance with the present invention, a method, computer program product, and system for performing actions based on captured interpersonal interactions during a meeting is provided. One or more computer processors capture the interpersonal interactions between people in a physical space during a period of time, using machine learning algorithms to detect the interpersonal interactions and a state of each person based on vision and audio sensors in the physical space. The one or more computer processors analyze and categorize the interactions and state of each person, and tag representations of each person with the respectively analyzed and categorized interactions and states of the respective person over the period of time. The one or more computer processors then take an action based on the analysis.

  • Patent number: 10923101
Abstract: A system, a computer program product, and method for controlling synthesized speech output on a voice-controlled device. The voice-controlled device recognized that speech input is being received. The voice-controlled device outputs synthesized speech based on the speech input. While outputting synthesized speech based on the audio is captured. The voice-controlled device recognized the audio input as speech and pausing the outputting of synthesized speech. Otherwise, in response to the captured audio not being recognized as speech and above a settable background noise threshold, pausing the outputting of synthesized speech. The paused output of speech based on the synthesized speech input is resumed after the pausing of the output of synthesized speech being within a settable pause timeframe.

  • Publication number: 20200388179
Abstract: Methods and systems for the secure delivery and processing of exam questions and responses. One or more exam questions and one or more identifiers of one or more designated individuals who are authorized to print the one or more exam questions are transported using a secure protocol. Biometric information is obtained from an individual requesting to print the one or more exam questions and information is read from an embedded tag that identifies a corresponding exam sheet as a unique exam sheet for a specified exam and that identifies that the specified exam is for a particular student. The specified exam is printed on the unique exam sheet in response to a first current time being in a printing time window TW1 and the biometric information from the individual matching biometric information of one of the one or more designated individuals.

  • Patent number: 10830598
Abstract: A moving target service accesses locations of moving targets each carrying a separate device accessing an augmented reality environment through an augmented reality service, the augmented reality environment comprising one or more moving virtual targets, the one or more moving virtual targets only accessible within the augmented reality environment when each device is physically present at one or more particular locations within a real world environment. The moving target service identifies a selection of the moving targets of a density within a region exceeding a density threshold. The moving target service calculates at least one optimized course for a user to follow within the real world environment to intersect with one or more of the selection of moving targets in the region to access the moving virtual target through the augmented reality service on a separate device accessible to the user.
