In one embodiment, the hand-held abrasive article includes an elongated resilient body having a perpendicular cross-sectional surface. The cross-sectional surface of the resilient body includes at least one internal right angle, at least one internal acute angle, at least one internal obtuse angle, and at least one curved portion. At least a portion of the resilient body is coated with abrasive.

Abstract: A resilient hand-held abrasive article suitable, for example, for woodworking, includes a plurality of separated raised abrasive surfaces to allow the article to more effectively conform to a contoured surface. A method of making such an abrasive article is also disclosed.
