  • Patent number: 11814334
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of separating amino acids from an aqueous solution comprising amino acids as well as proteins and/or protein decomposition products by combining phosphoric acid with the aqueous solution to precipitate an amino acid monophosphate. The precipitate so formed may be separated from the aqueous solution and used as such, e.g. in plant fertilizer compositions. The precipitate may be redissolved in a suitable liquid, after which phosphate and amino acid may be separated following conventional methods. In either case, the present invention enables highly selective precipitation of arginine and/or lysine monophosphate as crystals.

  • Publication number: 20230059457
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards an electrodepositable coating composition comprising, consisting essentially of, or consisting of an ionic salt group-containing silicone-based main film-forming polymer comprising functional groups; and a curing agent reactive with the functional groups of the ionic salt group-containing silicone-based main film-forming polymer. Also disclosed are coatings, coated substrates, and methods of coating a substrate.

  • Publication number: 20220388926
Abstract: A composition, such as a liquid seed coating composition, comprises at least one macro nutrient and at least one microbe, which macro nutrient includes nitrogen in the form of a basic L-amino acid in association with phosphorus. The composition allows for an enhanced environment for planted seeds, e.g. by providing nitrogen in a form which is available for extended periods of time. Further, as compared to prior art products, the nitrogen is provided in a form which has been shown to be more beneficial to microbes present in soil surrounding the plant in terms of toxicity. The composition is advantageously a liquid slow release seed coating composition. Further, the invention includes a seed treated to extend the duration of the nitrogen effect without lethal effects to surrounding microbes, and a method of treating a seed to achieve the same objective.

  • Patent number: 9810314
Abstract: A shifter assembly for changing gears in a vehicle transmission, including a housing and a shift rod rotatably supported in the housing. The shift rod is selectively movable between a plurality of radial positions. A disc is in rotational communication with the shift rod for concurrent movement between the radial positions. The disc defines a plurality of gates each having respective first and second ends. A plurality of solenoids are disposed in the housing adjacent the disc. Each of the solenoids has a plunger selectively movable between a first position spaced from the disc and a second position disposed within one of the gates. The gates are spaced equally from each other and are radially aligned about a common reference circle. Rotation of the shift rod is selectively limited by at least one of the plungers in the second position engaging at least one of the ends of the gates.
