  • Patent number: 6771765
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and customer contact or call server that provides a unified queuing mechanism for queuing multiple media requests. The queuing mechanism includes one or more skillsets each including an idle agent queue and a pending requests queue. Skillsets are assigned interrupt levels defining the importance of skillsets with respect to each other. Agents are assigned to and queued in the idle agent queue of one or more of the skillsets. As media requests are received in the pending requests queues of skillsets, agents are dispatched to attend to the requests. As an agent is dispatched from a skillset, it is removed from other skillsets that have an equal or lower interrupt level, and is maintained in skillsets that have a higher interrupt level. Consequently, an agent, tending to a media request, may be interrupted with other media requests only if the other media requests are queued in skillsets of higher interruptibility level, and if the agent is assigned to those other skillsets.

  • Patent number: 5322166
Abstract: A pill storage and dispensing container has a lower storage unit with a plurality of radially arranged individual pill storage compartments. An upper storage unit positioned directly above and nestled within the lower unit also has a plurality of similarly arranged storage compartments as well as one bottomless compartment. A top cover is positioned directly above the upper storage unit, and a dispensing opening in the cover is arranged to communicate with the various compartments in the upper unit as well as with the bottomless compartment and the various compartments of the lower storage unit as the cover is rotated relative to the storage units. A hub shaft releasably interconnects the upper and lower storage units and the top cover while allowing the storage units and cover to rotate relative to on another. Twenty eight individual storage compartments are provided in a compact container which enables pills to be dispensed four times per day over a seven day period.

  • Patent number: 5044364
Abstract: A flexible treatment cover flows conditioned air onto a person positioned under the cover to assist in maintaining proper body temperature. The treatment cover has an inflated in use position above and out of contact with such person and a deflated flat stored position. Generally, the cover comprises a plurality of arch shaped air pockets fabricated of flexible material and connected together in series adjacent one another. Openings between adjacent air pockets allow inflation air to flow from one pocket to the next until the pockets are fully inflated. A separate air chamber on the underside of the cover has perforations which allow conditioned air to continuously flow out of the chamber onto the person under the cover. Air is supplied to inflate the air pockets and to continuously supply conditioned air to the air chamber.
