  • Publication number: 20230091976
Abstract: An apparatus for collecting a gaseous pollutant from air may comprise multiple vertical panel-beds each containing a solid sorbent; a fan to pass the air through the multiple vertical panel-beds and over the solid sorbent; an outlet gate configured to release the solid sorbent from the multiple vertical panel-beds after the fan passes the air over the solid sorbent; a regeneration vessel configured to regenerate the released solid sorbent by recovering the gaseous pollutant from the released solid sorbent; and a conveyor configured to return the regenerated solid sorbent to the multiple vertical panel-beds.

  • Patent number: 8848929
Abstract: A personal noise monitoring system and method for operating the same. Sound pressure data from inside the ears of a user of hearing protection device (HPD) are acquired from microphones in the HPD and reported to a master control unit. Simultaneously, the master control unit receives sound pressure data from the ambient environment in which the user is located. The data are reported to a central server for processing. The central server may use the data to determine in near real time or real time whether the user of the HPD is at risk for exposure to excess sound levels and to take remedial action while the user is still in the ambient environment.

  • Publication number: 20040225578
Abstract: Linking the consumer to retailer pricing and database information creates a full-feature shopping tool. The Internet is used as a vehicle to enable customer access to portions of this information from any remotely located computer. Using software resident on the remote computer, the consumer may interact with the database through a Web service to check on product availability, identify item discounts, view promotional specials, access product information, price comparison shop, and plan their shopping visit to the store. The patented Display Edge Technology, Ltd. (DET) Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) System facilitates the Web service with access to the store database. In addition, the ESL system allows for the highlighting of special pricing or tier pricing utilizing display screen annunciators or light emitting devices.
