Publication number: 20240078291Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods are provided that create an improved forensic investigation graph. Nodes of connected data are clustered according to a maximal nearest neighbor algorithm to create maximal nearest neighbor clusters. A first node of data is directly connected to at least a second node of data and indirectly connected to a third node of data through the second node. The nearest neighbor includes only sets of nodes that are directly connected. A cluster of data includes combinations of connected nodes. A cluster of nearest neighbors only includes combinations of nodes that are directly connected to each other. The maximal nearest neighbor clusters are created by determining all clusters or nearest neighbors and removing all nearest neighbor clusters that are subsets of another nearest neighbor cluster. The maximal nearest neighbor clusters re then displayed on a display. The maximal nearest neighbor clusters represent data acquired in the performance of a forensic investigation.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 8, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Jonathan Grier, Justin Phillips, Dane Howard, Ben Marshall

Publication number: 20240077467Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods are provided that leverage plugin modules supplemented by machine learning to create a robust and adaptable forensic investigation tool that obtains data from one or more data sources, separates the data into smaller units of data (e.g., deconstructs the data into its smallest logical data items/fields) determines common data types within the smaller units, creates “edges” that match data from the one or more data sources with data already in the system, then determines potentially overlapping clusters of information to identify potential connections between investigations and displays the information on a display in link form or grid form.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 7, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Jonathan Grier, Justin Phillips, Dane Howard, Ben Marshall

Patent number: 11920347Abstract: A joist assembly system that is structured for dynamic retrieval of components, dynamic and precise positioning and location of retrieved components, assembly of the components to form a joist, and delivery of the assembled joist. The joist assembly system has a plurality of material handling systems, a plurality of welding systems, and a rigging table system. The material handling systems are structured to load and position the components such as chords and webs onto the rigging table. The rigging table in turn supports the chords or webs. Subsequently, the plurality of welding systems weld the webs to the chords to form the joist.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: NUCOR CORPORATIONInventors: Jason Alan Freidenberger, Joseph Patrick Cagle, Christopher Ray Couch, Richard Thomas Erickson, Travis Marshall Fuhrman, John Lyman Hale, Matthew Glenn Hire, Christopher William Martin, James E. Publication number: 20240061561Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for automatically causing a visually-deemphasized effect to be applied to a portion of the graphical user interface (GUI) that excludes a GUI element of a computer application determined to be in a user-attention state. A user-attention state may correspond to a computer state associated with a GUI element that indicates that the GUI element on a screen has or should have a user's attention. GUI elements presented using a visually-deemphasized effect are presented in a visually altered manner, such as blurred, grayscale, or otherwise visually modified. Embodiments include monitoring and classifying user data and user activity associated with a GUI element. Based on the classification, the GUI element is determined to be in the user-attention state to cause the visually-deemphasized effect to be applied to a portion of the GUI that excludes the first GUI element.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 22, 2022Publication date: February 22, 2024Inventors: Travis Jay POPKAVE, Jonathan Marshall CAIN, Savoy Dean SCHULER

Publication number: 20240005751Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor that may determine that a first sound to be outputted responsive to an occurrence of a first event on the apparatus is to be modified, in which the first sound corresponds to a first sound data. The processor may also select, from a pool of sound data, a second sound data that is to be combined with the first sound data, in which the second sound data is associated with an occurrence of a second event on the apparatus. The processor may further combine the first sound data and the second sound data to generate a modified sound data and may use the modified sound data to output a modified sound corresponding to the modified sound data responsive to an occurrence of the first event.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2022Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventor: Jonathan Marshall CAIN
