  • Patent number: 12039857
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor that may determine that a first sound to be outputted responsive to an occurrence of a first event on the apparatus is to be modified, in which the first sound corresponds to a first sound data. The processor may also select, from a pool of sound data, a second sound data that is to be combined with the first sound data, in which the second sound data is associated with an occurrence of a second event on the apparatus. The processor may further combine the first sound data and the second sound data to generate a modified sound data and may use the modified sound data to output a modified sound corresponding to the modified sound data responsive to an occurrence of the first event.

  • Publication number: 20240061561
Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for automatically causing a visually-deemphasized effect to be applied to a portion of the graphical user interface (GUI) that excludes a GUI element of a computer application determined to be in a user-attention state. A user-attention state may correspond to a computer state associated with a GUI element that indicates that the GUI element on a screen has or should have a user's attention. GUI elements presented using a visually-deemphasized effect are presented in a visually altered manner, such as blurred, grayscale, or otherwise visually modified. Embodiments include monitoring and classifying user data and user activity associated with a GUI element. Based on the classification, the GUI element is determined to be in the user-attention state to cause the visually-deemphasized effect to be applied to a portion of the GUI that excludes the first GUI element.

  • Patent number: 11479981
Abstract: A system for releasably securing a platform in a raised position is disclosed. A track is provided. An arm is connected at a first end to the platform. A second end, with a lug, is biased toward a side portion of the track. The lug is configured to ride in the track. As the platform is raised, the lug rides upward and enters the top portion and clears a first vertical wall, whereupon the lug rests in the depression and thus supports the platform in the raised position. As the platform is raised further, the lug clears a second vertical wall, whereupon the lug can ride downward in the side portion and through a bottom portion, past a door and out an open end of the bottom portion.

  • Patent number: 11219341
Abstract: The improved urinal apparatus is configured for insertion in an outlet of a urinal. The urinal apparatus includes a hollow body defining an upper housing and a clamp ring/lower housing. The upper housing provides an open chamber configured to receive and retain a consumable detergent/malodour counteractant and the clamp ring/lower housing is configured to support and retain a resealing valve, which is operable to allow flow of fluid, such as urine, from above, but is operable to prevent backflow from below the resealing valve. The urinal apparatus also includes a consumable cap element, which includes an axial opening at least partway through, wherein the opening is configured to receive at least part of the upper housing. A body of the cap element comprises a plurality of radially extending fins. One of the upper housing or the consumable cap element comprise an upper member comprising an array of holes, which facilitate fluid flow and insertion and extraction of the urinal apparatus as a unit.

  • Patent number: 10920412
Abstract: A modular building unit is disclosed. The modular building unit includes at least nine elongated frame members, each forming one edge of a prism, which prism has at least three side faces and two end faces, with each end of each frame member being rigidly attached to an end of two other frame members. At least three parallel frame members include a channel running therethrough, which channel is open at both ends and adapted to receive a tensioning cable therethrough, whereby like modular building units can be held together at adjoining end faces by tensioning cables. Modular building systems for combining modular building units using tensioned cables are also disclosed.
