  • Patent number: 12605150
Abstract: A method for removing tissues may comprise disposing a tissue resection device at a target tissue site, causing the tissue resection device to resect a core of tissue from the target tissue site, removing the core of tissue from the body, wherein the removing the core of tissue from the body creates a core cavity at the target tissue site.

  • Publication number: 20250359735
Abstract: Medical devices, systems, and related methods useful for facilitating navigation through patient anatomy during a medical procedure are described. The medical device may include a handle including a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a middle portion between the proximal portion and the distal portion. The distal portion may be detachable from the middle portion by complementary mating elements. An articulation mechanism may be disposed within the distal portion of the handle, and configured to control articulation of a shaft coupled to the handle. A first electronic drive assembly may be configured to drive rotation of the middle portion and the distal portion relative to the proximal portion about a first axis. A second electronic drive assembly may be configured to drive rotation of the articulation mechanism about a second axis different from the first axis.

  • Publication number: 20250295294
Abstract: Medical devices and related methods useful for facilitating the rotation of a medical device to multiple planes are described. The medical device may include a handle that comprises a proximal portion and a distal portion coupled to the proximal portion by a connector configured to be gripped by a user. The distal portion may be rotatable relative to the proximal portion by rotation of the connector and an articulation mechanism may be disposed within the proximal portion and the distal portion of the handle and extend through the connector. The articulation mechanism may be configured to control articulation of a shaft coupled to the handle and includes a coupler translatable relative to the connector independent of rotating the connector.

  • Publication number: 20250143889
Abstract: A lordotic lateral implant, an implant system, process, and method of use are presented. More specifically, and without limitation, the present disclosure relates an implant, the implant, in example, includes a unique four-wedge design for an improved adjustment system, which includes a left-hand and right-hand threaded shaft option. More specifically, and without limitation, the present disclosure includes ramps for simultaneous, same slope adjustment, which also translates effectively from the shaft when the implant is expanded. Furthermore, but without limitation, this expansion is achieved by only one shaft rotation.

  • Patent number: 12207857
Abstract: Implant bending instruments disclosed herein can have a plurality of bending elements that can be symmetrically driven to bend or contour an implant, such as a spinal rod. A single actuator handle can be moved to drive a compound gear train and move the bending elements to intersect an implant-receiving channel and bend an implant received therein. Instruments of the present disclosure can have an increased mechanical advantage than conventional bending instruments thereby allowing for an increased amount of force to bend an implant. A locking pawl can selectively prevent counter rotation of the gear train such that the handle can be actuated a plurality of times to achieve a desired contour angle.

  • Publication number: 20240398580
Abstract: An expandable intervertebral cage includes vertically opposed superior and inferior plates and longitudinally opposed distal and proximal wedges disposed between the plates. The wedges define ramps that engage complimentary ramps of the superior and inferior plates to increase a vertical distance between the plates. An actuator is located between the plates, defines a central, longitudinal axis, and is coupled to the wedges such that, as the actuator rotates about the axis, at least one of the wedges moves longitudinally relative to the other, thereby increasing the vertical separation distance. At least one locking component is insertable within a receptacle at least partially defined by the proximal wedge and is configured to transition from an unlocked configuration, where the actuator is rotatable relative to the proximal wedge, to a locked configuration, where the actuator is rotationally affixed relative to the proximal wedge.
