  • Patent number: 11734147
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to managing file systems over a network. A core specification that defines characteristics of a portion of a file system and parameters may be provided. The characteristics may include one or more storage device characteristics. And, the parameters may include one or more of a cluster size, or a protection level. File system models may be generated based on the core specification and the parameters. Each file system model may correspond to a file system that conforms to a core specification and specific values for the parameters. A simulation engine may be employed to provide simulation results based on the file system models. Deployment models may be generated based on the simulation results. The deployment models may be employed to provision file systems that conform to the file system performance characteristics associated with its corresponding deployment model.

  • Patent number: 11729100
Abstract: A system for facilitating an integrated traffic profile for indicating congestion and packet drop is provided. During operation, the system can determine a first traffic profile indicating whether to drop a packet based on the utilization of a queue. The packets from the queue can be forwarded via an egress port reachable via a fabric. The system can also determine a second traffic profile indicating whether to indicate congestion in the packet based on the utilization. The system can then determine a third traffic profile by combining the first and second traffic profiles. The third traffic profile can indicate acceptance at the queue for a subset of packets being selected for dropping based on the utilization. Subsequently, the system can, if the packet is selected for dropping, determine whether to accept the packet at the queue and set a congestion indicator in the packet based on the third traffic profile.

  • Patent number: 11727455
Abstract: In an example embodiment, information about a buyer in an ecommerce system is obtained. An unpaid item risk assessment is calculated for the buyer, the unpaid item risk assessment calculating a risk that the buyer will not pay for an item on which the buyer bids. A bid limit is then established based on the unpaid item risk assessment. A bid from the buyer may then later be blocked based on the bid limit.

  • Publication number: 20230254438
Abstract: Systems, methods, client devices, and non-transitory computer-readable media are disclosed for utilizing an augmented reality (AR) data channel to enable shared augmented reality video calls which facilitate the sharing of and interaction with AR elements during video calls. For example, the disclosed systems can establish a video call between client devices that include a video (and audio) data channel and an AR data channel. Moreover, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems enable one of the client devices to transmit AR data (e.g., AR element identifiers, AR elements, object vectors, participant identifiers) through an AR data channel to cause the other client device to render an AR element on a video captured by the other client device during a video call. Indeed, the disclosed systems can enable AR environments, AR effects, AR-based activities, and/or individual AR elements during a video call utilizing an AR data channel.

  • Publication number: 20230254465
Abstract: This disclosure describes a system configured to present primary and secondary, tertiary, etc., virtual reality content to a user. Primary virtual reality content may be displayed to a user, and, responsive to the user turning his view away from the primary virtual reality content, a sensory cue is provided to the user that indicates to the user that his view is no longer directed toward the primary virtual reality content, and secondary, tertiary, etc., virtual reality content may be displayed to the user. Primary virtual reality content may resume when the user returns his view to the primary virtual reality content. Primary virtual reality content may be adjusted based on a user's interaction with the secondary, tertiary, etc., virtual reality content. Secondary, tertiary, etc., virtual reality content may be adjusted based on a user's progression through the primary virtual reality content, or interaction with the primary virtual reality content.

  • Publication number: 20230148321
Abstract: Computational methods and systems for training Artificial Intelligence (AI) models with improved translatability or generalisability (robustness) comprises training a plurality of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models using a common validation dataset over a plurality of epochs. During training of each model, at least one confidence metric is calculated at one or more epochs, and, for each model, the best confidence metric value over the plurality of epochs, and the associated epoch number at the best confidence metric is stored. An AI model is then generated by selecting at least one of the plurality of trained AI models based on the stored best confidence metric and calculating a confidence metric for the selected at least one trained AI model applied to a blind test set. The resultant AI model is saved and deployed if the best confidence metric exceeds an acceptance threshold.

  • Patent number: 11643226
Abstract: Provided herein are various enhancements to spacecraft or other vehicles, including spacecraft docking mechanisms and vehicle mating systems. In one example, a vehicle mating mechanism includes a latch assembly of a vehicle having soft capture elements and hard capture elements. The soft capture elements accept a bar element of a mating vehicle and retain the bar element to within an envelope that provides a soft capture with the mating vehicle. The hard capture elements move within the envelope to engage the bar element and draw the bar element toward the vehicle to provide a hard capture with the mating vehicle. The vehicle mating mechanism can also include a cup-cone interface element of the vehicle that mates with a cup-cone interface element of the mating vehicle during the hard capture to establish an alignment between the vehicle and the mating vehicle.
