  • Publication number: 20210169719
Abstract: A patient turning apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a reconfigurable support platform comprising a plurality of laterally extending support slats configured for pivotal movement about a longitudinally extending central region of the platform. At least one support slat is configured to follow a pivotal movement of a longitudinally adjacent support slat about the central region, through at least a portion of a pivotal range of movement of the longitudinally adjacent support slat. The apparatus further comprises means operable to control pivotal movement of at least one support slat of the platform about the central region.

  • Publication number: 20190146545
Abstract: Provided herein are an article and method for reducing or eliminating movement of a device. The article includes a top surface including a first material and a bottom surface including a second material. The first material is arranged and disposed to engage a corresponding material and the second material is a non-slip material arranged and disposed to engage a supporting surface. The method of reducing movement of a device includes providing an article including a top surface having a first material and a bottom surface having a non-slip second material; providing a device having a corresponding material attached thereto; placing the non-slip second material of the article in contact with a support surface; and placing the corresponding material on the device in contact with the first material on the article. Also provided herein is a system including an article and a device.

  • Publication number: 20140066978
Abstract: The present invention relates to a laparoscopic apparatus. The apparatus comprises a handle having a body portion, a top surface, opposite bottom surface, a proximal and distal end. The top surface of the base is contoured to compliment the natural curve of the palm. The apparatus further includes a shaft projecting from the distal end of the handle. The shaft has a proximal and distal end. A control sphere is located on the handle. The control sphere can be moved by one or more of a user's fingers to indicate direction. An end effector is located at the distal end of the shaft. The end effector is connected to the control sphere such that movements made to the control sphere control cause movement (articulation) of the end effector.

  • Publication number: 20100129522
Abstract: The present invention is related to a caffeinated freeze pop product. Specifically, the mixture for the freeze pop includes water, sweetener, preservatives, caffeine, citric acid, flavoring agent, and a coloring agent. The sweetener can be any type of sweetener but is preferably high fructose corn syrup, and the preservatives generally are sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, and adenosine monophosphate. The flavoring agent can be of any flavor, and include: cherry, orange, blue raspberry, tropical fruit, sour apple, and wild berry. Further the color of the caffeinated freeze pops can be any color, including: red, orange, blue, purple, yellow, and green. Generally the method of making the freeze pop is to dissolve the preservatives into the water; then combining in the citric acid, caffeine, and sweetener; and last combining the caffeinated mixture with flavoring and coloring agents for visual and taste appeal.
