  • Patent number: 10724686
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a sealing system for a dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) system. In one embodiment, a system comprises: a reservoir including an inlet opening; an outer tube; and a tapered seal shaped to seal against the inlet opening and the outer tube, the tapered seal including: a first section removably coupleable to a second section; and a through-hole formed by a first plurality of inner surfaces of both the first section and the second section, the through-hole shaped to encircle the outer tube. In this way, the tapered seal may be coupled around the fluid passage without inserting a tip of the fluid passage through the through-hole of the tapered seal, and a sterility of the system may be maintained.

  • Publication number: 20180080498
Abstract: A pre-set bearing assembly provides for a simplified installation within a rotating shaft system. The bearing assembly includes an outer ring, a first and a second inner ring, a first and a second row of rolling elements, and at least one coupling element that couples the first inner ring to the second inner ring, setting the pre-load or end-play of the bearing assembly to a pre-determined range. The outer ring includes a first outer rolling element raceway on a first inner radial surface and a second outer rolling element raceway on a second inner radial surface. The first inner ring includes a first inner rolling element raceway and the second inner ring includes a second inner rolling element raceway.

  • Patent number: 9869346
Abstract: A tandem roller bearing assembly is provided that combines a tapered roller bearing with an angular contact ball bearing, yielding high load capacity with improved efficiency. A one-piece outer ring contains an outer tapered roller raceway and an outer angular contact ball raceway and can support an axial load in a single direction. A one-piece inner ring contains an inner tapered roller raceway and an inner angular contact ball raceway and can support an axial load in a single direction. Various rib configurations are implemented on the inner tapered roller raceway to achieve multiple friction and axial load support options.

  • Patent number: 9183288
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system and method for using modified Latent Semantic Analysis techniques to structure data for efficient search and display. The present invention creates a hierarchy of clustered documents, representing the topics of a domain corpus, through a process of optimal agglomerative clustering. The output from a search query is displayed in a fisheye view corresponding to the hierarchy of clustered documents. The fisheye view may link to a two-dimensional self-organizing map that represents semantic relationships between documents.

  • Publication number: 20090049067
Abstract: In a computer implemented method of researching textual data sources, textual data is reduced to a plurality of distinctive words based on frequency of usage within the textual data. The distinctive words are converted into first numeric representations of vectors containing random numbers. A first self-organizing map is formed from the first numeric representations and organized by similarities between the vectors. A second self-organizing map is formed from second numeric representations generated from the organization of the first self-organizing map. The second numeric representations are vectors derived from the first self-organizing map. The vectors are used to train the second self-organizing map. The vectors derived from the first self-organizing map are organized into clusters of similarities between the vectors on the second self-organizing map. Dialectic arguments are formed from the second self-organizing map to interpret the textual data.
