Abstract: A plant growing device for personal home use in an insulated environment is disclosed as comprising a cabinet for accommodating different facilities of the plant growing device and a space for plant growth. The system further comprises at least one water tank having a water-based solution, at least one controller, a light source, a watering subsystem electrically connected to the controller, a plurality of environmental sensors for providing input data about environmental conditions, plant sensors electrically connected to said controller to provide input data about the plant physical parameters, water level sensors, a dosing subsystem controlled by the controller for selectively dispensing/delivering required amounts of nutrients into the water-based solution, a climate subsystem having an air cooler, air humidifier and air heater, a watering subsystem, and a communication module to communicate with a database server and a mobile device.

Abstract: According to various embodiments a mobile device is provided having resident thereon a mobile application for use in conjunction with an alcohol detection device. The mobile device comprises a memory and one or more processors configured to execute the mobile application. The mobile application is configured to: determine whether at least one communication pathway exists between the mobile application and the alcohol detection device; responsive to at least one communication pathway existing, generate an indication that the alcohol detection device is ready for conducting at least one blood alcohol content (BAC) level test therewith; receive formatted test data from the alcohol detection device; and provide, based at least in part upon the formatted test data and via an interface of the mobile device, one or more test results for consideration by a user of the mobile device. Abstract: According to various embodiments, an alcohol detection device is provided for use in conjunction with a mobile application loaded on a mobile device. The device comprises: a body portion defining an exterior surface of the alcohol detection device, the exterior surface having at least one opening formed thereon; a slide mechanism mounted relative to at least one internal surface of the body portion such that the slide mechanism is configured for translational movement along a length of the at least one internal surface of the body portion; and an audio jack operatively mounted to the slide mechanism such that a longitudinal axis of the audio jack is substantially aligned with the at least one opening and the translational movement of the slide mechanism is configured to move the audio jack relative to the body portion and between a first position and a second position. Abstract: According to various embodiments, an alcohol detection apparatus is provided for use in conjunction with a mobile application resident on a mobile device. The apparatus comprises: a memory and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to: determine whether at least one communication pathway exists between the apparatus and the mobile application resident on the mobile device; responsive to a determination that at least one communication pathway exists, generate an indication that the apparatus is ready to facilitate conducting of at least one blood alcohol content (BAC) level test therewith; capture test data associated with the conduct of at least one BAC level test; and convert the test data into formatted data, the formatted data being suitable for transmission from the apparatus and to the mobile application via the at least one communication pathway.
