A fan draws ambient air over a drive belt within the belt housing. The belt housing can have a main belt housing and a belt housing cover. The belt housing can contain an air intake and air exhaust connected by an air duct. Belt housing can have a filter in order to clean intake air. The result is a vacuum with significantly greater longevity—reducing costs and increasing reliability of the vacuum for the user.
