  • Patent number: 10691788
Abstract: Some methods can include a user device establishing a Bluetooth connection with a camera, the user device receiving a camera PIN from the camera via the Bluetooth connection, the user device generating and displaying a QR code including the camera PIN and a device PIN, the user device receiving a message from the camera via the Bluetooth connection, and the user device confirming that the message includes the device PIN. Some methods can include the camera establishing the Bluetooth connection with the user device, the camera transmitting the camera PIN to the user device via the Bluetooth connection, the camera capturing an image of the QR code including the camera PIN and the device PIN displayed on the user interface, the camera confirming that the QR code includes the camera PIN, and the camera transmitting a message including the device PIN to the user device via the Bluetooth connection.

  • Patent number: 9860697
Abstract: A mobile device with a display and location services may store information pertaining to a geofence. With the aid of the location services of the mobile device, a geofence crossing may be detected when the mobile device crosses the stored geofence and, if a geofence crossing is detected, the mobile device may transmit a corresponding geofence crossing event to a remote location via a transmitter of the mobile device. The size of the geofence may be automatically adjusted when a predetermined abnormality is suspected in the detected geofence crossing events. In some cases, a query is provided to the user to verify the presence of the predetermined abnormality before the size of the geofence is automatically adjusted, or a user-initiated menu may be employed to verify the presence of the predetermined abnormality and/or to adjust the size of the geofence.

  • Patent number: 9560482
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a mobile device that is suitable for detect geofence crossing events. In some instances, the mobile device can detect geofence crossing events using a lower power algorithm or a higher power algorithm. The mobile device may allow a user of the mobile device to specify whether a lower power algorithm or a higher power algorithm is to be used when detecting geofence crossing events. In some instances, the mobile device may automatically change from a lower power algorithm to a higher power algorithm if a predetermined abnormality is found to be present in the detected geofence crossing events. In some instances, the user may be prompted to confirm automatically changing from a lower power algorithm to a higher power algorithm if a predetermined abnormality is found to be present in the detected geofence crossing events.
