  • Patent number: 10788673
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for displaying virtual content. When a user is settled in a given geographic area, a full version of the content may be displayed at user-defined or processor-defined location. When the user is moving, for example leaving the geographic area, a mobile version of the content may be displayed at a body-locked position peripheral to the user's view.

  • Patent number: 10679648
Abstract: Various embodiments relating to detecting at least one of conversation, the presence and the identity of others during presentation of digital content on a computing device. When another person is detected, one or more actions may be taken with respect to the digital content. For example, the digital content may be minimized, moved, resized or otherwise modified.

  • Patent number: 10529359
Abstract: Various embodiments relating to detecting a conversation during presentation of content on a computing device, and taking one or more actions in response to detecting the conversation, are disclosed. In one example, an audio data stream is received from one or more sensors, a conversation between a first user and a second user is detected based on the audio data stream, and presentation of a digital content item is modified by the computing device in response to detecting the conversation.

  • Patent number: 10482665
Abstract: Systems are provided for synchronizing and desynchronizing mixed-reality datasets between multiple devices. The systems identify multiple users in a mixed-reality environment. The mixed-reality environment is defined by a global mixed-reality dataset. The systems display a synchronized view of the global mixed-reality dataset to each of the multiple users within a shared coordinate system. Additionally, the systems receive a command from a first user within the multiple users to desynchronize from the multiple users. The systems display to the first user a first desynchronized view of the global mixed-reality dataset.

  • Patent number: 9952656
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and corresponding apparatus to enable a user of a display system to manipulate holographic objects. Multiple holographic user interface objects capable of being independently manipulated by a user are displayed to the user, overlaid on a real-world view of a 3D physical space in which the user is located. In response to a first user action, the holographic user interface objects are made to appear to be combined into a holographic container object that appears at a first location in the 3D physical space. In response to the first user action or a second user action, the holographic container object is made to appear to relocate to a second location in the 3D physical space. The holographic user interface objects are then made to appear to deploy from the holographic container object when the holographic container object appears to be located at the second location.

  • Publication number: 20160210780
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for scaled viewing, experiencing and interacting with a virtual workpiece in a mixed reality. The system includes an immersion mode, where the user is able to select a virtual avatar, which the user places somewhere in or adjacent a virtual workpiece. The view then displayed to the user may be that from the perspective of the avatar. The user is, in effect, immersed into the virtual content, and can view, experience, explore and interact with the workpiece in the virtual content on a life-size scale.
