Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a railway car pivot assembly comprises an annular bushing formed with a round-shaped hole and an elongated pivot pin that extends through the hole for rotational movement within. The pivot pin has a flange for releasable securement to an end door of a conventional railway car. The annular bushing is coupled to the railway car via a swivel coupler that provides for orthogonal rotation of the annular bushing relative to the railway car.
