  • Patent number: 11498251
Abstract: A method of injection molding uses different mold inserts, such as lead frames, to selectively control material flow in order to produce different parts in a common mold. One mold insert can have a different geometry than another mold insert so that molten material is either blocked or allowed to flow through corresponding portions of the mold inserts. By changing out the insert used for injection molding, insert-molded plastic parts produced in the mold can differ by at least one part feature.

  • Publication number: 20200363053
Abstract: An illumination assembly including a light pipe and a light supply for use in illuminating shelf dividers on a shelf. The light pipe includes a first end portion including a light inlet, a second end portion including a light outlet, and a body portion extending between the first and second end portions. The light supply directs light into the light inlet, whereby at least a portion of the light subsequently exits the light pipe through the light outlet. When the first end portion is positioned adjacent a rear edge of the shelf, the body portion extends from the rear edge to a front edge of the shelf. The light pipe is configured to transmit at least a portion of the light emitted by the light supply from the light inlet to the light outlet to illuminate an area adjacent the shelf front edge.

  • Patent number: 7993150
Abstract: A power distribution assembly (PDA) is provided with a support rail having a bendable grounding arm. This grounding arm extends from at least one axial end of the metal support rail and is bendable downwardly so as to overlie an end face of a power block on the PDA. The grounding arm includes a connector flange that projects inwardly through an access window formed in the power block, which connector flange is tight-fittingly engaged with an internal ground terminal upon insertion of the connector flange into the access window during downward bending of the grounding arm.

  • Patent number: 7955106
Abstract: A modular power distribution system includes power distribution assemblies and flex connectors. The flex connector includes end connector housings and a flexible jacket that encloses conductor wires extending between the connectors. The jacket is formed from superimposed layers of sheet-like jacket material that is flexible. The bottom jacket layer is first laid on a bottom housing section wherein conductors are then placed thereupon with an upper jacket layer then positioned over the bottom jacket layer. The top and bottom jacket layers have aligned free edges along at least one side thereof wherein the free edges are bonded together such as by heat sealing.

  • Patent number: 7776948
Abstract: A composite material comprises a particulate material generated as a waste by-product of an industrial process, and a binder for binding the particulate material into a uniform mass. The particulate material and binder are combined in preselected proportions and compressed to form a counterweight having a preselected density and a fixed configuration. A counterweight is manufactured by selecting a first proportion of a particulate material generated as a waste by-product of an industrial process, selecting a second proportion of a binder for binding the particulate material into a uniform mass, combining the first proportion of the particulate material with the second proportion of the binder into a uniform mass, forming the counterweight from the uniform mass, and incorporating the counterweight into a finished product.

  • Patent number: 6948962
Abstract: A receptacle for providing electrical power to an electrical power plug comprises a circuit selector for selecting one of several electrical circuits available to supply the receptacle. The circuit selector is electrically connected to a power terminal assembly, adapted for engagement with at least one power plug, through at least one flexible jumper. The flexible jumper enables the circuit selector to be moved to a preselected position for engagement with mating terminals corresponding to the selected circuit, through flexural movement of the jumpers.

  • Patent number: 6748997
Abstract: An upright connector or support post usable in a space-dividing wall panel system formed from serially connected panel assemblies. The post includes a plurality of openings disposed in vertically spaced relation with one another which receive load-bearing elements such as hangers or hooks typically associated with furniture components. Dimples or deformations extend transversely along the upper and lower edges of the openings and provide increased strength at the attachment points along the post.
