  • Patent number: 11968056
Abstract: Avatars may be displayed in a multiuser communication session using various spatial modes. One technique for presenting avatars includes presenting avatars such that an attention direction of the avatar is retargeted to match the intent of the remote user corresponding to the avatar. Another technique for presenting avatars includes a pinned mode in which a spatial relationship between one or more avatars remains displayed in a consistent spatial relationship to a local user regardless of movements of the local user. Another technique for presenting avatars includes providing user-selectable presentation modes between a room scale mode and a stationary mode for presenting a representation of a multiuser communication session.

  • Patent number: 11744150
Abstract: Acenes, such as aza-acenes are attractive materials for organic semiconductors, specifically for n-type materials. There are disclosed new derivatives of acenes that are fabricated using novel synthesis. For example, the disclosed fabrication strategies have allowed for the first time new aza-tetracene and aza-pentacene derivatives. The HOMO and LUMO energy levels of these materials are tunable through appropriate substitution and as predicted, deepened. There are also disclosed organic photosensitive devices comprising at least one aza-acene such as aza-tetracene and aza-pentacene.

  • Publication number: 20140076403
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to organic photosensitive optoelectronic devices comprising at least one boron dipyrrin compound. In addition, the present disclosure relates to methods of making organic photosensitive optoelectronic devices comprising at least one boron dipyrrin compound. The present disclosure also generally relates to chromophoric compounds that combine strong absorption of light at visible wavelengths with the ability to undergo symmetry-breaking intramolecular charge transfer (ICT), and their use for the generation of free carriers in organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs) and electric-field-stabilized geminate polaron pairs. The present disclosure also relates to the synthesis of such compounds, methods of manufacture, and applications in photovoltaic systems and organic lasers.

  • Patent number: 8618009
Abstract: Hollow conjugated polyelectrolyte (HCPE) microcapsules contain at least one conjugated polyelectrolyte and at least one other polyelectrolyte of complementary charge and the microcapsule has a hollow core. The conjugated polyelectrolyte is a polymer with a multiplicity of charged repeating units where a portion of the charged repeating units form a pi-conjugated sequence. The complementary polyelectrolyte is a polymer with a complementary charged repeating unit to the charged repeating units of the conjugated polyelectrolyte. The HCPE microcapsules can be formed by successively coating a sacrificial core with alternating layers of complementary polyelectrolytes, at least one of which is a conjugated polyelectrolyte. The sacrificial core can be removed to form the hollow center of a HCPE microcapsule.
