Abstract: A distributed computing system for a space flight environment includes a radiation hardened single board computer and a peripheral board including a radiation hardened processor module. The radiation hardened single board computer includes a first radiation hardened processor and a first radiation hardened field programmable gate array. The radiation hardened processor module includes a second radiation hardened processor and a second radiation hardened field programmable gate array. The radiation hardened processor module is connected to the radiation hardened single board computer through a VPX backplane.
