  • Publication number: 20080098498
Abstract: The invention provides sudangrass inbred and hybrid plants having adaptation, productivity, and disease resistance with reduced lignin concentration, reduced cell wall concentration, and improved digestibility. Plants and plant parts of the invention are useful in the efficient production of meat and milk due to improved whole plant and fiber digestibility.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 21, 2007
    Publication date: April 24, 2008
    Inventor: Jonathan Reich

  • Publication number: 20070163008
Abstract: The invention provides alfalfa plants with detectable levels of tannins, especially condensed tannins, and methods of making alfalfa plants with detectable levels of tannins. Plants and plant parts of the invention are useful as forage for ruminants as they reduce the risk of bloat and reduce or eliminate the need for protein supplementation in ruminant diets.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 8, 2007
    Publication date: July 12, 2007

  • Publication number: 20070130131
Abstract: A system for searching a network for network based content related to a search query, such as multimedia and streaming media, includes an adapter for formatting the search query, a first database containing previous search results and a second database for storing currently returnable metadata, a search processor, and at least one search engine kernel comprising a search engine inherent database. The search engine coordinates searching of the first database and the second database, and provides the formatted search query to the search engine kernel. The search processor also provides and receives search results to and from the first database and the second database, and provides search results to the adapter. The system stores a predetermined amount of previous search results in the first database, such that search results for a current search are retrieved from the database, avoiding a search through search engine kernel comprising searchable metadata.
