Abstract: A light-emitting system is provided which is removably attachable to headgear for personal illumination to enhance visibility of the user to others. The light-emitting system includes a housing that defines a receiving aperture and is configured to surround a portion of the headgear when the light-emitting system is removably attached to the headgear for use. The light-emitting system further includes at least one lens and a plurality of lighting elements coupled to the annular housing which are configured to selectively generate a halo or at least a partial halo of light that radiates outwardly away from the annular housing through the at least one lens to provide enhanced personal illumination.

Abstract: User interface navigation on a personal electronics device based on movements of a crown is disclosed. The device can select an appropriate level of information arranged along a z-axis for display based on crown movement. The navigation can be based on an angular velocity of the crown.

Abstract: An electrolyte system and an ultracapacitor are disclosed. The electrolyte system comprises a solvent, an ionic liquid comprising a cyclic compound, and a lithium metal salt. The solvent comprises a first sulfur-containing compound in an amount of from less than 85 wt. % based on the weight of the solvent and a second sulfur-containing compound in an amount of 50 wt. % or less based on the weight of the solvent. An ultracapacitor may comprise the electrolyte system.

Abstract: Interfaces for positive pressure therapy having a mask assembly, a headgear assembly and a connection port assembly are disclosed herein. The connection port assembly has a ball joint connection with the mask assembly and includes a quick release button for easily disconnecting the gases source conduit from the mask assembly. The mask assembly may include a bias flow vent that is formed separately and attached to the mask assembly. The headgear assembly encircles the rear region of the user's head and may include at least some portions that are substantially non-stretchable.

Abstract: In some examples, a device may include a backlight unit configured to illuminate a display. In some examples, a light source may direct light into an active photonic circuit. The active photonic circuit may include optical switches controllable to distribute the light to illuminate display zones. An active photonic circuit may include an arrangement of optical switches configured to allow particular zones to be raster scanned, for example, using light distribution and outcoupling further using a passive photonic circuit. The illumination intensity for each zone may be controlled using the optical switches and/or with variation of the light source intensity. In some examples, the illumination intensity for each zone can be varied based on the displayed content, allowing improved contrast ratios. In some examples, all zones may be illuminated simultaneously with a zonal illumination intensity based on displayed content. Abstract: A pick and place end effector configured to form a kink in a composite laminate. The pick and place end effector comprises a vacuum lift face configured to hold the composite laminate and move from a flat configuration to a forming configuration with an angle in the vacuum lift face to form the kink in the composite laminate; a number of motors configured to move the vacuum lift face between the flat configuration and the forming configuration; and a number of restraints configured to clamp portions of a composite laminate on opposite sides of the kink on the vacuum lift face during movement between the flat configuration and the forming configuration.

Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is disclosed. The UAV may include a UAV transceiver configured to receive course information associated with a course. The UAV may further include a UAV processor that may be configured to obtain the course information from the UAV transceiver. Responsive to obtaining the course information, the UAV processor may determine a UAV position in the course, and identify a course marker, from a plurality of course markers, in proximity to the UAV position based on the course information. The UAV processor may then determine navigation instructions associated with the course marker for a vehicle to navigate the course based on the course information. The UAV may be configured to move in proximity to a vehicle front portion and display the navigation instructions.

Abstract: A stabilizer for use with a delivery system is provided. The stabilizer receives a delivery system, such as a handle portion, and prevents unwanted movement of the delivery system during a medical procedure. The stabilizer desirably includes an elongate rail that is adapted to be secured to a base or table. A rail dock is adapted to releasably couple to the delivery system. The rail dock is slidably mounted along an upper surface of the rail and includes a brake assembly. The brake assembly preferably includes a toggle member with at least one push button, wherein actuation of the push button may release or lock the brake assembly. Components of the stabilizer are provided for allowing the stabilizer to be used with different delivery systems and the stabilizer is capable of being secured to different sized tables.
