  • Patent number: 11852748
Abstract: A method for operating a heating device for controlling the temperature of a radome of a radar sensor of a vehicle includes the steps of: receiving surroundings data that describe surroundings of the vehicle and/or at least one area of the radome of the vehicle, detecting a deposit of a precipitation on the radome on the basis of the surroundings data, outputting a heating signal to the heating device in order to control the temperature of the radome on the basis of the detected deposit of the precipitation. The surroundings data received are image data from at least one camera of the vehicle. The image data are used to detect the precipitation in the surroundings and/or on the area of the radome.

  • Patent number: 11364740
Abstract: A wheel weight assembly with inner and outer weights, inner and outer fasteners, and anti-rotation plates. Inner fasteners can include inner and outer nuts, and a stud that extends through inner weight. Outer nuts can attach to studs and outer fasteners. Anti-rotation plates can fit over outer nuts in recesses of inner weight to prevent rotation of outer nuts. The weight assembly can also include intermediate weight and intermediate fasteners. Intermediate fasteners can include intermediate nuts and studs, where proximal end of stud attaches to inner fastener, and distal end of stud extends into recess of intermediate weight. Intermediate nuts can attach to distal ends of studs, and to outer fasteners. Anti-rotation plates fit over intermediate nuts in recesses of intermediate weight to prevent rotation of intermediate nuts. Anti-rotation plates and recesses can be pear-shaped. Cutouts in anti-rotation plates and intermediate nuts can be polygonal-shaped.

  • Patent number: 10549796
Abstract: A cabin suspension arrangement for a utility vehicle, having a plurality of trailing arms that extend in a longitudinal direction, by which a driver's cabin is mounted and can pivoted relative to a vehicle frame. Two of the trailing arms are arranged spaced apart from one another in a transverse direction that extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction, are connected to one another by a torsion bar spring that extends in the transverse direction, and are arranged at the same height in a vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and to the transverse direction, thereby forming a first trailing arm pair. Two other trailing arms are arranged spaced apart from one another in the transverse direction, are arranged at the same height in the vertical direction, and thereby form a second trailing arm pair, which is spaced apart, in the vertical direction, from the first trailing arm pair.

  • Patent number: 9668567
Abstract: An adjustable device for supporting a load includes a belt for fastening about a user's waist. A rod includes two rigid elements. One of the elements is longitudinally slidable relative to the other element so as to adjust a length of the rod. A lower end of the rod is attachable to the belt and an upper section of the rod is attachable to a shoulder harness that is placeable on the user's shoulders for carrying the load. A control is operable by the user when carrying the load to unlock a locking mechanism that, when locked, fixes the length of the rod. When the control is operated concurrently with movement of the user's shoulders relative to the user's waist, the length of the rod is changed to adjust a distribution of a weight of the load between the user's shoulders and waist.

  • Publication number: 20150057215
Abstract: A soap kit that includes a plurality of soap pieces for assembly. Each soap piece is configured to engage with a geometrically conforming portion of at least another complementary soap piece, such that the soap pieces can be collectively arranged to form a unified integrated soap unit. The soap pieces may be engaged with one another while in a wet state to facilitate their adhesion. The soap pieces may then be transitioned from a wet state to a dry state to reinforce the adhesion and facilitate solidification of the soap unit. The integrated soap unit may depict a representation of an image or constitute a representation of an object.

  • Patent number: 8377678
Abstract: A method to propagate, enumerate and quantify bacteriophage(s) in a water sample or other aqueous sample was designed which contains ingredients to stimulate the growth of select bacterial species which are susceptible to infection by specific bacteriophage(s), in which interfering background organisms are either inhibited or inconsequential. Important features of the medium include oxidation-reduction compounds producing colored and/or fluorescent products, chromogenic and/or fluorogenic enzyme substrates, and temperature-independent gelling agent(s). A preferred combination is the growth medium containing 2,3,5-triphenyl tetrazolium chloride, 5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-B-D-galactoside, and appropriate gelling agents, which (when properly used) produces a dark red bacterial lawn containing teal blue-green, irregularly circular spots representing individual phage plaque, all discernible to the eye in visible light.

  • Patent number: 7797897
Abstract: A building construction assembly composed of factory-manufactured thermoplastic structural modules which when interconnected at a building site then create the entire shell of an edifice having side walls and a roof. Each module which is formed of a pair of parallel panels bridged by transverse webs is provided on either side along its length with a pair of flexible catch flanges projecting from the panels. When assembling these modules to create the shell of the edifice, adjacent modules are interconnected in coplanar relation by a double-faced joiner on each face of which is a pair of teeth. When one face of the joiner is pressed against a side of a module, its catch flanges then flex to snap into and behind the teeth to connect the joiner to this module. The other face of the joiner is similarly connected to the side of an adjacent module whereby the modules are then interconnected in coplanar relation.
