  • Patent number: 5117060
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved process for the preparation of ketoximes, especially ketoximes derived from branched chain ketones, wherein a ketone is reacted with a hydroxylamine salt in the presence of an alkanol, a heterogeneous base and up to about 5 weight percent, based on the weight of the ketone and alkanol, water.

  • Patent number: 4973646
Abstract: Disclosed are thermosetting, powder coating compositions comprised of semi-crystalline polyesters and .epsilon.-caprolactam-blocked bis(1-cyanato-1-methylethyl) benzene compounds which are readily curable at relatively-mild temperatures and using cure times commonly used to cure (cross-link) powder coatings. When using equivalent curing conditions, the disclosed coating compositions exhibit a higher degree of cross-linking than do combinations of amorphous polyesters and the .epsilon.-caprolactam-blocked bis(1-cyanato-1-methylethyl)-benzene compounds.
