Publication number: 20260183033Abstract: A control method for an energy-based surgical instrument includes activating an energy control signal at a subtherapeutic level, measuring a system response at the subtherapeutic level, adjusting one or more parameters based on the system response, and then activating an energy control signal at a therapeutic level according to the determined parameters. The subtherapeutic and therapeutic signals may be ultrasound or radio frequency (RF) energy and/or a combination of ultrasound and RF energy. Controlled parameters may include mode, cycle time, power (e.g., ultrasound tip displacement), or crest factor. Other embodiments are described and claimed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2025Publication date: July 2, 2026Inventors: William B. Patent number: 12544752Abstract: This disclosure provides systems and methods for the production of formulations of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). In some embodiments, the disclosure provides an automated medicine formulation system comprising a portable and self-contained API formulating apparatus where the API and excipients are formulated to make a drug product meeting drug quality and safety specifications. The automated formulation system produces liquid formulations including, for example, injectable and intravenous medicines. The systems are capable of producing a plurality of individual sterile injectable doses of drug comprising a specific API and excipient(s), which can be formulated on demand in a GMP and FDA acceptable manner.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2024Date of Patent: February 10, 2026Assignee: ODH IP CORP.Inventors: Mahdi Ramezani, Akshaya Nair, Gordon Brezicki, Jonathan Samuel, Alec Nicewick, Griffin Whittredge

Publication number: 20250390614Abstract: An information handling system may include at least one processor, a memory, an external peripheral port configured to couple to external peripheral devices, and a firewall physically coupled between the at least one processor and the external peripheral port. The firewall may be configured to: receive a plurality of communications associated with the external peripheral port, wherein each communication has a time of transmission associated therewith; compare the times of transmission to a human input model to determine a likelihood that the communications were generated by a human; and in response to the likelihood being below the threshold, block the communication from proceeding.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 25, 2024Publication date: December 25, 2025Applicant: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Nathnael MEKURIA, Adolfo S. MONTERO, Jonathan SAMUEL

The firewall may be configured to: receive a plurality of communications associated with the external peripheral port, wherein each communication has a type associated therewith; in response to a determination that a first communication has a type that is associated with human interface devices, allow the first communication to proceed; and in response to a determination that a second communication has a type that is not associated with human interface devices, block the second communication from proceeding.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2024Publication date: October 30, 2025Applicant: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Nathnael MEKURIA, Jonathan SAMUEL, Adolfo S. Publication number: 20160114873Abstract: A system designed as a benign disablement weapon for use against sailboats and a method for using the system. The system may be easily deployed to stop sailboats by disabling the propeller. The system uses a buoyant component that floats covertly on the water surface and to which many entanglement lines are attached. Upon the targeted boat passing over the system, the buoyant interface catches on the keel of the vessel. The buoyant interface then drags the entanglement lines with the vessel which puts the lines in position to catch on the propeller, causing the vessel to become disabled. The system may be modified for use in disabling motor craft.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 10, 2015Publication date: April 28, 2016Applicant: THE TRUSTEES OF THE STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYInventors: Paul D.
