  • Patent number: 4049977
Abstract: First and second transistors are connected at their bases to share a bias current supplied to them from a constant current generator. The emitter electrodes of the first and second transistors are connected respectively to the input terminal and to the output terminal of a current mirror amplifier. Input signal applied to the input terminal of the current mirror amplifier causes push-pull variations in the collector currents of the first and second transistors.

  • Patent number: 3999140
Abstract: Circuit for producing a bias current which is inversely proportional to the common emitter forward gain (h.sub.fe) of a transistor. It includes a first transistor and second and third transistors of opposite conductivity type to the first. The base emitter paths of the second and third transistors are connected in parallel. The first transistor has collector-to-base feedback to regulate its collector current to a prescribed value, which feedback connection is through the emitter-to-collector path of the second transistor. The bias current proportional to the prescribed value divided by the h.sub.fe of the first transistor is provided at the collector of the third transistor.

  • Patent number: T953012
Abstract: in a current mirror amplifier (CMA) circuit the desired gain may not be realized because of the effects of the base currents of the transistors comprising the CMA. A resistance of appropriate value is added in series with the base of a transistor in the input path thereby varying the base-emitter junction voltage of an output current determining transistor in the CMA output path which in turn modifies this output current in a manner so as to reduce the effects of the base currents.
