    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of treating eosinophilic COPD and/or eosinophilic inflammatory responses of eosinophilic COPD in a subject in need thereof. The method comprises orally administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of dexpramipexole, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The treating eosinophilic COPD can comprise reducing the rate of COPD exacerbation, reducing a mucus plug score, reducing the rate of hospitalizations due to exacerbations, reducing the rate of oral/parenteral steroid and/or antibiotic use for treatment of COPD, changing the level of one or more biomarkers associated with eosinophilic chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), lung function decline, or any combination thereof.
