  • Patent number: 12259935
Abstract: A computing device executing software displays a view of a search assignment in a user interface to a learning platform. The device receives user input comprising search terms associated with the search assignment, and generates queries based on the user input. The device submits the queries to a search engine, whereupon the search engine performs searches based on the queries, and the device displays the results. As a user evaluates resources provided in the results, the device updates the user interface to include an option selectable for adding evaluated ones of the resources to a collection of resources for the search assignment. In response to the user selecting the option with respect to a resource of the evaluated ones of the resources, the device adds the resource to the collection of resources.

  • Patent number: 12257066
Abstract: An ORIF implant has an electronics module with a stimulus light and optical sensors for sensing fluorescent emissions coupled to a near-field digital radio. The implant is used with a near-field radio to receive a sequence of fluorescent emissions readings from the implant into a processor that fits the sequence of readings to a bone-specific kinetic model that is a superposition of a plug flow model of periosteal perfusion and a two-compartment model of endosteal perfusion of perfusion of bone. A system for use during ORIF surgery has an injector for fluorescent dye, a camera to send a sequence of images of fluorescent emissions from fluorescent dye in a bone of a subject to an image processor when the bone is illuminated with a stimulus light, the processor configured to fit the sequence of images to a model of perfusion of bone.

  • Patent number: 12235916
Abstract: A method of operating a search service includes observing, on a per-user basis with respect to each user in a group of users, usage of features of a search engine over a period of in association with search queries submitted to the search engine. The method continues with identifying, on a per-user basis with respect to each of the group of users, one or more insights into the usage of the features over the period of time. The service may then enable display of the one or more insights in a user interface.

  • Publication number: 20250016261
Abstract: An anonymous system for communicating with a vehicle subscriber employs an interface device that is coupled with the vehicle. A third party, or communicator may want to communicate with the vehicle subscriber and use their mobile phone to interface with the system through the interface device. The communicator can then send a message, such as a text message, to the vehicle subscriber regarding their vehicle. The communicator's mobile device is linked with the system and a communication input is then opened on their mobile device. A message menu may allow the communicator to select a message for delivery to the vehicle subscriber. The communication from the communicator passes from the communicator's mobile device, through the system and then to the subscriber. An interface device may be a machine-readable code attached to the vehicle to allow a communicator's mobile device to scan the machine-readable code and be linked with the system.

  • Publication number: 20240423582
Abstract: A computer-implemented method is provided for facilitating the acquisition of ultrasound imaging data over an extended period of time. with improved consistency in the image view which is captured. A first set of ultrasound imaging data, comprising one or more images representing one or more views of the anatomy of a patient, is acquired and stored in a datastore. This image data is then used as reference data for subsequent image acquisition, wherein subsequent image data is compared in real time with the reference image data to obtain a measure of a degree of correspondence between the views depicted. This can be used to guide the acquisition of the new image data so that it is consistent with the previous image data. For example. when the view represented in the newly acquired image data sufficiently matches that in the reference data. an alert message can be issued to the user.

  • Patent number: 12011315
Abstract: A method (20) and device for deriving an estimate of intracranial blood pressure based on motion data for a wall of an intracranial blood vessel, intracranial blood flow velocity, and a blood pressure signal measured at a location outside the brain. The method is based on identifying (28) a time offset between the two intracranial signals (vessel wall movement and vessel blood flow), and then applying (30) this offset to the blood pressure signal acquired from outside the brain to obtain a fourth signal, indicative of estimated intracranial blood pressure.

  • Publication number: 20240177826
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed herein for generating personalized food guidance using predicted food hunger. Using the technologies described herein, instead of providing food guidance that is generalized for a group of individuals, personalized food guidance is provided that takes into account an individual's personalized responses to foods, including the predicted hunger of an individual. A nutritional service generates a hunger score that predicts a hunger level of an individual at a time (or for more than one time) after the individual has or is planning to consume food. The nutritional service uses the hunger score to generate the food guidance. Providing an individual with personalized food guidance can make choosing food easier and healthier.
