  • Patent number: 10934355
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods of treating a subject to reduce adhesion formation, the method comprising administering to a subject in need of thereof an agent that that targets adhesion-formation by injured mesothelial cells. The agent can act at a variety of checkpoints in the development of adhesions by injured mesothelial cells, including: targeting the injured mesothelial cells for destruction, recruiting inflammatory macrophages to the site of adhesion, preventing neutrophil recruitment to the site of adhesion, and/or inhibiting the expression or activity of a gene product whose expression is induced in the injured mesothelial cells. Compositions and kits for performing the methods are also provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 1, 2017
Date of Patent: March 2, 2021
Assignee: The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University
Inventors: Jonathan Tsai, Nathaniel Fernhoff, Rahul Sinha, Yuval Rinkevich, Irving L. Weissman

  • Publication number: 20160089076
Abstract: A wearable device having active feedback characteristics for physiological nursing, and a system and a method thereof are provided. A physiological sensing device is configured to sense a physiological sensing signal of a wearer, and the wearable device actively applies a preset functional response corresponding to the wearer when the physiological sensing signal is not within a safe range to enable the physiological sensing signal returning to a stable state. Disclosed actively and determinedly provides an instant response which enables the wearer's physiological condition being controlled in a relative stable state, providing a pretreatment in no time to wait the follow-up aid, or deciding to do other treatments independently.

  • Publication number: 20160087680
Abstract: A broadcast automatic communication method and a system thereof are provided. The system applies near field communication assemblies to establish a first far field communication path between far field communication assemblies of first and second electronic devices. The first and second electronic devices respectively produce first and second message packages. The method applies the near field communication assemblies of the first and second electronic devices to form first and second near field communication ranges, respectively. The first and second near field communication ranges are united, a first near field communication path is established, and the first message package is stored in the second electronic device and/or the second message package is stored in the first electronic device. The second or first message package is analyzed to establish the first far field communication path. Disclosure enables numerous electronic devices communicating with each other by broadcasting method.

  • Patent number: 9262466
Abstract: A data processor and a data processing method are provided. The data processor is arranged between a client and a database system to determine in advance whether a user instruction sent from the client updates data of the database system. When the data processor determines that the user instruction does not update data of the database system, the data processor sends the predefined data to the client and restrains the user instruction to the database system. Accordingly, the data processor can assist the database system to process the user instruction, so as to reduce in advance the enormous volume of data processing that the database system is requested upon.

  • Patent number: 8780712
Abstract: A smart automatic communication method and system are introduced. The method applies to a first electronic device and a second electronic device. The first electronic device has a first near field communication chip and a first far field communication chip. The second electronic device has a second near field communication chip and a second far field communication chip. The first electronic device generates a communication packet having therein a communication setup file. The first electronic device moves toward the second electronic device until the first near field communication chip can trigger the second near field communication chip within a short distance. The communication packet is sent from the first electronic device to the second electronic device. The second electronic device analyzes the communication packet to obtain the communication setup file, thereby creating a first far field communication path between the first and second far field communication chips.
