  • Publication number: 20260160448
Abstract: A water heater assembly includes a burner and an exhaust pathway. The exhaust pathway includes a condensate trap having a float and a housing. The housing includes an upper housing portion defining an upper chamber within which the float is disposed, an inlet through which exhaust gases and liquid condensate flow into the upper chamber, an exhaust outlet through which exhaust gases flow out of the upper chamber, a lower housing portion that defines a lower chamber positioned beneath the upper chamber, a divider that extends between the upper and lower chambers and includes an upper face and a lower face opposite the upper face, a port that extends through the divider from the upper chamber to the lower chamber, a condensate outlet through which liquid condensate flows out of the lower chamber, and a collar that projects downward from the lower face of the divider to a lower lip.

  • Patent number: 12638215
Abstract: In one example, a system for collecting scale from water in a water heating appliance includes a reservoir having an interior, an inlet through which the water flows into the interior, and an outlet through which the water flows from the interior, the inlet, the outlet, and the interior defining a water pathway. A filter is positioned within the interior of the reservoir and the filter is oriented to traverse the water pathway and divide the interior of the reservoir into an upstream section into which the water flows from the inlet and a downstream section from which the water flows to the outlet. A collection chamber is configured to receive scale as the water flows along the water pathway through the interior of the reservoir and the water passes through the filter. The collection chamber is positioned in or adjacent the upstream section of the interior of the reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20260078928
Abstract: A system for heating water includes a heat exchange assembly having a heat source and a pump that moves water to be heated at a flow rate; a water storage tank with a water port receiving water inlet flow into the interior of the water storage tank and delivering recirculating water out from the interior of the water storage tank; and a conduit assembly including a valve having an inlet that receives water from water supply, an outlet that delivers water to be heated to the heat exchange assembly at the flow rate, and a port that delivers at least a portion of the water inlet flow to the water storage tank when the water supply flow rate exceeds the flow rate, and receives recirculating water from the water storage tank when the flow rate exceeds the water supply flow rate.

  • Publication number: 20260078929
Abstract: A method for generating a scale service alert for a water heater includes calculating an initial bypass mixing percentage of water flowing through a bypass line, associating the calculated initial bypass mixing percentage of water with a detected position of a mixing valve to obtain a baseline feedback measurement, periodically comparing current measurements of the bypass mixing percentage of water and/or a current position of the mixing valve to the baseline feedback measurement, detecting blockages and triggering the scale service alert when the current position of the mixing valve changes by a pre-determined amount from the associated baseline position of the mixing valve to achieve the same bypass mixing percentage of water or when the current measurements of the bypass mixing percentage of water deviates from the initial bypass mixing percentage of water by a pre-determined factor.

  • Publication number: 20260036335
Abstract: A water heater appliance and a method of configuring or reconfiguring said appliance for connection to one or more external conduits located above or below said appliance is disclosed. The water heater appliance comprises a housing at least partially defining an interior. At least one conduit is positioned within the interior and has a fixable conduit section and a movable conduit section coupled at a joint and movable relative to the fixable conduit section. The joint permits rotation of the movable conduit section about an axis of the joint while remaining coupled to the fixable conduit section. The movable conduit section is movable for being oriented or reoriented for alignment with an opening in an upwardly-facing surface of the housing, or oriented or reoriented for alignment with an opening in a downwardly-facing surface of the housing, for the water heater appliance to be configured for connection to the external conduit.

  • Publication number: 20260029162
Abstract: A method of heating water in a tankless water heating appliance in conditions of low water flow or no water flow is disclosed. A water supply is introduced into a heat exchanger configured to transfer heat to the water supply from a burner when the water supply is contained in the heat exchanger. A pulse fire duration is determined for the burner and a pre-defined condition of the water supply is sensed. When the pre-defined condition is sensed, the burner is activated to fire for the pulse fire duration, and the burner is deactivated after the pulse fire duration is elapsed. The pre-defined condition of the water supply is monitored, such that when the pre-defined condition is sensed again, the burner is activated to fire for another pulse fire duration, and the burner is deactivated after the another pulse fire duration is elapsed.

  • Patent number: 10110536
Abstract: An online content management service can manage distribution of event notifications to client devices based on notification keys. Client devices can register with the content management service to receive event notifications associated with one or more specific notification keys of interest. The content management service can receive information about events, determine a notification key for each event, and selectively send notifications to clients that are registered for that notification key. The content management service can store event notifications for client devices that are generated during a period when the client device is not in communication with the content management service and can send the missed event notifications to the client device when the client device reestablishes communication with the content management service.

  • Patent number: 9977917
Abstract: A content management system implementing methodologies providing retroactive shared content item links is disclosed. The content management system and methodologies allow a team administrator of a team to configure a team-wide shared link policy that determines whether non-team members can access content items associated with team accounts using shared links generated for the content items by team members. The team shared link policy has two settings. In a first setting, the content management system allows non-team members to use shared links generated by team members to access content items associated with team accounts. In a second setting, the content management system blocks access to the content items by non-team members. Shared links are retroactive in the sense they do not need to be regenerated after the team shared link policy has been changed from the second setting back to the first setting.
