Patent number: 11977988Abstract: In a method for applying deterministic logic to select resources for resource genomes in a genetic algorithm, a logic engine identifies resources associated with an objective and an overall task population to be completed by one or more of the identified resources. The logic engine then selects a deterministic logical framework from one or more deterministic logical frameworks based on the objective. Following the selection of a deterministic logical framework, the logic engine selects one or more resources from the one or more identified resources based on the selected deterministic logical framework. The logic engine compiles the one or more selected resources into a resource genome, assigns one or more tasks from the task population to the one or more selected resources, and sends instructions to the one or more selected resources to execute the one or more tasks. The logic engine determines a value score for the resource genome.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2021Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: NMETRIC, LLCInventors: Christine Koski, Stephen Cook, Ryan Heaton, Jonathan Watts

Publication number: 20070101195Abstract: A method for testing a network device having modules for receiving and sending data packets in a network includes generating in the network device at least one internal data structure associated with a data packet received by the network device from the network. A predefined action on the network device is then preformed responsive to the internal data structure indicating that the data packet satisfies a predefined condition.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2005Publication date: May 3, 2007Inventors: Mark Gooch, Bruce LaVigne, Jonathan Watts

Patent number: 7134754Abstract: A retinal camera is used to examine an eye, the camera including a light source having first and second sources emitting first and second wavelength bands. The first and second light sources are arranged to alternately produce light onto the retina such that the absorptivity of light of the first wavelength band by oxygenated blood is greater than the absorptivity of light of the second wavelength band, and the absorptivity of light of the first wavelength band by the oxygenated blood is less than absorptivity of light of the second wavelength band. Light is selectively focused from the first and second sources by an optical arrangement and imaging devices produce respective images of a portion of the retina illuminated with the respective wavelength bands. The images obtained by the imaging device are processed by the imaging device and processor to determine a retinal metabolic image based on haemoglobin oxygenation. In an embodiment of the invention light is scanned across the retina.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2002Date of Patent: November 14, 2006Inventors: Patrick Kerr, Jonathan Watts
