Abstract: A storage and sales unit having a storage space and a display space and including a frame receivable of a display element and movable between a first position in which access to the storage space is prevented and a lockable second position enabling access to the storage space, while the display space is continually accessible. The frame is pivotally mounted to the storage and sales unit such that the frame is pivotable about a first pivot axis between the first and second positions. The storage and sales unit also includes locking members for locking the frame in the second position.
Abstract: A display unit including a plastic panel and first and second generally L-shaped plastic frame members attached to opposed edges of the panel to form a generally U-shaped assembly. The panel includes structure for enabling the display of merchandise. The display unit includes mounting components for mounting the assembly to a substrate, such as a column in a store, round, rectangular or square, or ends of a shelving unit. The U-shaped assembly is preferably made entirely of a plastic which is rigid yet somewhat resilient. A method for optimizing an exposed column in a store for sales purposes is also disclosed in which a generally U-shaped plastic assembly having a panel is mounted to the column and the panel is provided with structure for enabling the display of merchandise.
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing beverages from containers including a housing having an outer surface, canisters arranged in the housing for defining compartments in which beverages from the beverage containers are received, one in each compartment, spigots mounted on the outer surface of the housing and arranged in flow communication with the compartments for enabling individual dispensing of the beverages from the compartments, and a single thermoelectric unit for cooling or heating the beverages received in all of the compartments. The thermoelectric unit has a first conductor plate thermally coupled to the canisters, a second conductor plate spaced from the first conductor plate and thermally isolated from the canisters and at least one thermocouple arranged between the first and second conductor plates. Each thermocouple includes a pair of semi-conductor elements made from a semi-conductor material.

Rack apparatus for making a plurality of shot-size drinking glasses formed of ice includes a multi-cavity grid in combination with a cooperating frame and a plurality of molds. Apparatus for facilitating the use of shot-size drinking glasses formed of ice include one or more holding members formed of flexible sheet material in combination with a caddy including a recess for positioning the holding member with respect to the glass.
Abstract: A method and device are provided for mounting carpet or other floating samples, which are quadrate in configuration and relatively planar and stiff. Each sample is mounted so that first and second side right angled edges intersect at the lowest point of the sample, forming a downwardly facing V. Each of the first and second side edges makes an angle of between about 30-60 degrees with respect to a vertical line, with the sample face outward, the angle preferably being 45 degrees. The diagonal of each sample slopes downwardly from left to right. The samples are preferably mounted in groups, the samples in each group having the same color and preferably also the same shade, with only the top edges and a portion of the face of the samples in each group aside from the outward sample, being visible.
Abstract: A gravity dispensing bin system includes one or more gravity dispensing bins in which bulk product supplied through an open top of the bin moves under gravity to a lower dispensing opening as product is dispensed, and a frame on which the dispensing bins are mounted. A plurality of bins may be mounted in vertically and/or horizontally aligned arrangement on the frame and the frame with the bin or bins mounted thereon may itself be mounted on any suitable structure, such as a wall, pegboard or column, or alternatively, may be free-standing. Each bin has an open top which is normally covered by the bottom of the next upper adjacent bin or an overlying frame portion in the case of the uppermost bin. The bins are hingedly mounted on the frame so that each can be tilted to provide access to the open top for filling with product.
