  • Publication number: 20230313045
Abstract: A system for separating bitumen from shingle powder includes: a blender; a solvent tank in fluid communication with the blender; a water tank in fluid communication with the blender; a decanting tank in fluid communication with the blender; a distillation tank in fluid communication with the decanting tank; and a plurality of pumps for pumping fluids between various components of the system or out of the system. When the system is in use, the blender receives and mixes solvent from the solvent tank with shingle powder containing bitumen to produce a bitumen-infused solvent. Water is supplied to the blender from the water tank to wash an interior of the blender. Bitumen-infused solvent received in the decanting tank from the blender is separated from excess water. Bitumen within the bitumen-infused solvent is isolated within the distillation tank.

  • Publication number: 20230174869
Abstract: This invention relates to manufacturing briquettes, pellets and shapes from recycled asphaltic limestone powder derived from waste residential roofing products. Briquettes and pellets are manufactured through a densification process at varying temperatures, creating recycled asphalt pellets, asphalt limestone pellets and bio mass and coal fines briquettes. Various shapes, including curbs and posts, are manufactured through heat and pressure in molds. Seawalls, walkways and wall panels are manufactured by blending asphaltic limestone powders with polymer resins and extruded or pultruded into shapes.

  • Patent number: 10329084
Abstract: A construction material transport container includes four side doors that form substantially all of two side walls of the container. The container includes transversely disposed forklift pockets that can be used to load the container onto a flatbed truck. With the container on a truck and the side doors open, new construction materials can be loaded onto the container from both sides. Both the container and the new materials can be delivered to a job side by a single delivery using a truck-attached forklift. The empty container can then be used as a receptacle for recyclable materials. The container further includes roll-off or hook lift vehicle tracks configured so that the container can be picked up and hauled to a recycling or refuse center. A rear door of the container can be opened so that the container can be tilted by the vehicle to offload the used material.
