  • Patent number: 11680666
Abstract: A connector assembly (608) for a length of corrugated tubing (601) having an inner corrugated element (602) and an outer flexible sheath layer (603). The connector assembly (608) comprises a fitting (609) including a fluid-flow passage and an abutment surface (612) for the corrugated tubing (601) to seat thereon; axial loading means operably connectable to the fitting (609), the axial loading means including a connector (613) and a collet (610), the collet (610) having a radially inward protruding clamping element (611) for insertion into a trough (606) of the inner corrugated element (602), and a sheath-contact portion (625) for engaging the outer sheath layer (603), so that, when the connector (613) moves the collet (610) into engagement with the fitting (609), the collet (610) causes the corrugated element (602) to move onto the abutment surface (612) whilst maintaining engagement with the outer sheath layer (603).

  • Publication number: 20220128182
Abstract: A connector assembly for earth-bonding of a corrugated stainless steel tubing system is disclosed. The collector assembly incorporates a fitting to hold a tubing at least at one opening of the fitting, a collet at inner side of the at least one opening to enable sealing of the tubing, and a nut configured on outer side of the one or more opening of the fitting. The connector assembly can include one or more holes positioned at pre-defined positions on the fitting or nut to electrically couple one or more earth-bonding means at the one or more holes. The earthing means can include an earthing cable coupled to the fitting or the nut by an earth-bonding clamp or a tightening screw, which can be connected to an electrical earth or electric zero potential for providing earth-bonding.

  • Patent number: 9371945
Abstract: A connector for a length of corrugated tubing. The connector includes a fitting including a passage therethrough, a clamping surface, a seal, and a nut operably connected to the fitting. The tubing is in fluid communication with the passage through the fitting. Axial movement of the nut towards the clamping surface-urges the tubing against the seal wherein the tubing is thereby sealingly restrained to the fitting and a clamping surface is formed capable of causing an end portion of the corrugated tube to form a flare by the end portion of the corrugated tube being compressed against the clamping surface and the seal and sealed thereagainst by the action of the nut.

  • Publication number: 20130300110
Abstract: A connector assembly 100 for a length of corrugated tubing 101. The connector assembly 100 comprising a fitting 102 including a passage 1 11, a clamping surface 107, a seal 105, and an axial loading means 103 operably connected to the fitting 102. In use, the tubing 101 is in fluid communication with said passage 111 of the fitting 102 and axial movement of said loading means 103 towards said clamping surface 107 urges said tubing 101 against said seal 105 wherein said tubing 101 is thereby sealingly restrained to said fitting 102 and the clamping surface 107 is formed such that, in use, it is capable of causing an end portion of a corrugated tube 101 to form a flare by said end portion being compressed against said clamping surface 107 and against said seal 105 and sealed thereagainst under the action of the loading means 103.
