  • Publication number: 20240384593
Abstract: A refeed block for refeeding a displaced edge of a roll-up door into the rail of a refeed assembly. The refeed block has two guide blocks placed at an angle to one another and each has a low coefficient of friction such that the lateral edge of the roll-up door can glide over the guide block with virtually no drag from the guide block.

  • Publication number: 20240384594
Abstract: A manual release structure and roll-up door assembly is provided such that the edges of the roll-up door can be intentionally disengaged from the guideway. This is accomplished by using modified roll-up door elements at the edges of the door. One modification is made to the rail within which the door edges reside when the door is in its down or “closed” position. Another modification is made to a face frame slide within which the rail resides. Still another modification is made to the edges of the roll-up door. Together, these modifications result in an improved manual release structure to be used when release of the door edge becomes necessary.

  • Patent number: 8113594
Abstract: The invention relates to a quick release assembly for a bicycle, wherein the assembly comprises an axle having a first non-cylindrical end portion, a cylindrical central portion, and a second non-cylindrical end portion, wherein a diameter of one of the non-cylindrical end portions is larger than the diameter of the cylindrical central portion. The quick release assembly further comprises an insert having a non-cylindrical outer profile configured to be retained in a non-cylindrical opening and having a cam surface disposed therein, wherein the insert is sized to retain one of the non-cylindrical end portions of the axle therein. The assembly also includes a shaft sized to pass through the axle and having a cam follower on a first end and a handle on a second end, wherein the cam follower is configured to form a locking engagement with the cam surface upon an axial rotation of the handle.
