Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for a cryogenic device for ablating tissue. The device can comprise a handle comprising one or more tabs on lateral sides of the handle. The handle can further comprise an unlocked configuration in which the one or more tabs are pressed into an interior of the handle. The device can further comprise an elongated probe extending from the handle. The device can further comprise a receptacle, wherein the handle connects the elongated probe to the receptacle. The device can further comprise a plate within the handle. The plate can be configured to lock the one or more tabs in a locked configuration of the handle such that the handle is locked into the receptacle when one or more fluid supply passageways is pressurized, wherein the plate is moved axially by one or more elastic members between the locked configuration and the unlocked configuration.
