  • Publication number: 20080136618
Abstract: A control method of a brake lamp and a center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) of a vehicle. If the vehicle is not braking, both lamps are turned off. If the vehicle is braking, the method includes: receiving data on an operating state of the vehicle; determining a degree of danger based on the data; and operating the lamps based on the degree of danger. Operating the lamps includes: if the degree of danger is high, flashing the brake lamp quickly with high brightness, and flashing the CHMSL; if the degree of danger is medium, flashing the brake lamp slowly with high brightness, and turning on the CHMSL; and if the degree of danger is low, turning on both lamps. The data include an anti-lock brake operating state, deceleration of the vehicle, lateral acceleration of the vehicle, speed of the vehicle, and/or distance to a front obstacle.

  • Publication number: 20010030631
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical system for a head mounted display. The optical system of the present invention comprises a light source, a reflector for diffusing light from the light source, a reflection-type liquid crystal display panel for displaying an image by means of the light which is irradiated from the reflector, and a prism disposed in front of the reflector for magnifying the image of the liquid crystal display panel. In particular, the light source is a light emitting diode, and the reflector is constructed to be aspheric such that distortion aberration of the image of the liquid crystal display panel, which is emitted from the reflector, can be corrected. According to the present invention, an advantage of enhancing light efficiency can be obtained by including the light emitting diode and the reflector for diffusing the light generated from the light emitting diode.

  • Patent number: 6275334
Abstract: A projector screen is composed of a Fresnel lens for collimating incident light from a light projection device, a lenticular lens formed of a plurality of constituent lenses for forming and spreading an image from the parallel light, and a screen protection panel for protecting a screen set up adjacent to the lenticular lens. A projecting part of a predetermined height is formed on the rear side of the screen panel facing the lenticular lens, and on the tip of the projecting part a black stripe is formed to serve as a light-absorbing means. The height of the projecting part is lower than that of a convex surface of the lenticular lens. The widened range of light-spreading angle of the lenticular lens improves a horizontal viewing angle.

  • Patent number: 6061178
Abstract: A projector screen is provided with a Fresnel lens for collimating lights projected from a projection lens provided in a projection device. A lenticular lens having a plurality of pillar lens elements successively arranged in parallel forms an image from the collimated lights projected by the Fresnel lens and spreads the image. A protection panel is installed on the front surface of the lenticular lens for protecting the lenticular lens. Also, a plurality of parallel spreading units is formed along the central axis of each lens element at the contact portion of the lenticular lens and the protection panel for providing a wide viewing angle of the image. The surface of the lenticular lens opposing the protection panel is flat so as to adhere to the protection panel.
