  • Patent number: 7807094
Abstract: A method for producing a continuous filament made up of nanofibers is disclosed. A ribbon-shaped nanofiber web is prepared by electrospinning a polymer spinning solution onto a collector 7 applied with a high voltage, the collector 7 consisting of (I) an endless belt type nonconductive plate 7a with grooves having a predetermined width (u) and depth (h) formed at regular intervals along a lengthwise direction and a conductive plate 7b inserted into the grooves of the nonconductive plate, and then the nanofiber web is isolated (separated) from the collector 7, focused, drawn and wound. A continuous filament (yarn) made up of nanofibers can be produced by a simple and continuous process by providing a method for continuously producing a filament (yarn) by an electrospinning technique without a spinning process. The focusability and the drawability can be greatly improved by orienting nanofibers well in the fiber axis direction.

  • Publication number: 20040163598
Abstract: When an optical fiber preform is manufactured using MCVD (Modified Chemical Vapor Deposition), dehydration gas supplied into a tube on which soot particles are deposited is preheated at 600 to 1200° C. so that an internal temperature of the tube is kept over 500° C. in order to improve efficiency of the dehydration process for removing hydroxyl groups. At this time, a preheater for preheating is installed near a front end of the tube where the dehydration gas is introduced, or installed at a predetermined position of a gas supply line, or installed on a gas path in a main pillow. In addition, the preheater is capable of controlling thermal capacity, and a heatproof plate is installed around the preheater.

  • Patent number: 6352017
Abstract: A hydraulic pump includes a case having a plurality of fluid paths and a cylinder-shaped groove with a shaft-bearing hole. A shaft is inserted into the shaft-bearing hole of the groove such that the shaft is rotated. A cylinder block is disposed in the groove of the case with a plurality of cylinders such that the cylinder block is rotated upon receipt of a rotational power of the shaft. The cylinder block has a barrel-shaped bottom portion surrounding the shaft. A piston is inserted into each of the cylinders such that the piston reciprocates. A swash plate is combined with the case such that the swash plate covers an opening portion of the groove. The swash plate has an inclined side facing the cylinder block. A shoe has a top side, a bottom side and a stepped middle portion. The top side of the shoe is connected to the piston via a connecting member. The bottom side of the shoe contacts the inclined side of the swash plate.
