Patent number: 5865047Abstract: A pulsator, which is installed in a washing tub of a washing machine, includes a base, a post protruded upwardly from a upper surface of the base, a plurality of blades extended radially with respect to the post and outwardly the base, and protruded upwardly on the upper surface of the base, and a plurality of vanes formed on a upper portion of the post, extended radially and outwardly with respect to the upper portion of the post. The plurality of blades develop a heart-type water flow in the washing tub, and the a plurality of vanes develop a water flow at a central portion of the heart-type water flow, thereby the twisting and tangling of the laundry caused by the heart-type water flow can be minimized.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1997Date of Patent: February 2, 1999Assignee: Daewoo Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Chong-Man Yoon, Ki-Hyun Lim, Jeom-Gap Kim, Jong-Chil Lee

Patent number: 5839300Abstract: A pulsator for a washing machine generates a vortex-type water current in a washing tub in order to wash washing articles. In the pulsator of a washing machine, a base plate is fixed to a shaft of the washing machine to be rotated according to a rotation of the shaft. A plurality of stirring blades are downwardly slanted from the center of the base plate to an outer periphery thereof in a sector form on a bottom surface of the base plate. The plurality of stirring blades define at least one concave collecting basing between adjacent stirring blades on the bottom surface of the base plate. The pulsator for a washing machine generates a vortex-type water current in a washing tub and evenly transmits a friction force generated by a washing water current to the washing articles in a state that a current of the washing water is not uniform inside the washing tub thereby minimizing the twist of washing articles and increasing washing efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1997Date of Patent: November 24, 1998Assignee: Daewoo Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Chong-Man Yoon, Ki-Hyun Lim, Jong-Chil Lee
