    Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a stacked complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor in which a pixel sensor spans multiple integrated circuit (IC) chips and is devoid of a shallow trench isolation (STI) structure at a photodetector of the pixel sensor. The photodetector and a first transistor form a first portion of the pixel sensor at a first IC chip. A plurality of second transistors forms a second portion of the pixel sensor at a second IC chip. By omitting the STI structure at the photodetector, a doped well surrounding and demarcating the pixel sensor may have a lesser width than it would otherwise have. Hence, the doped well may consume less area of the photodetector. This, in turn, allows enhanced scaling down of the pixel sensor.

    Abstract: A radar self-calibration device and method are disclosed. The device includes an antenna transceiver module and a processor. The antenna transceiver module has a detection range. The processor is coupled with the antenna transceiver module for obtaining a relative velocity and an angle of the object with respect to the antenna transceiver module in a period of time. The relative angle is the angle included between the object and the driving direction of the vehicle body with respect to the vehicle body. The processor determines if the relative angle is equal to an ideal angle according to a detection model. The detection condition of the detection model includes that when the relative velocity is 0, the ideal angle is 90 degrees. Thus, the present invention assures the correctness of the detected angle through the detection model. When the detected angle is incorrect, the error is promptly calibrated.

    Abstract: A multimode radar device includes a central processing module, and an antenna module disposed in a middle area of the rear end of a vehicle and electrically connected with the central processing module. The central processing module has a motion determination switch unit, which has a low distance resolution mode and a high distance resolution mode. The motion determination switch unit detects the moving direction of the vehicle. When the vehicle moves forward, the antenna module operates in the low distance resolution mode. When the vehicle reverses, the antenna module operates in the high distance resolution mode. The present invention applies different distance-based resolution modes for blind spot detection and reverse radar detection, so as to fulfill the purpose and demand in different moving motion.

When the main unit is switched to a monitoring mode, the main unit generates a radar activation signal to activate the radars in generating a signal, making the signals generated by the monitoring sources of the radars form an intersection network. The monitoring source of each radar defines a normal line. Accordingly, the intersection type three-dimensional spatial monitoring network of the radar system of the present invention is proposed for individual warnings to facilitate the driver making good judgments or stopping the running school bus in an emergency.

The system includes a camera device, a radar device, a calculation module, and an angle calibration module. The camera device captures a surveillance image of a surveillance area. The radar device sends a radar signal toward the surveillance area. The calculation module, according to the surveillance image, acquires an image angle of an object with respect to the vehicle in the surveillance area. Also, the calculation module acquires a radar angle of the object with respect to the vehicle which is produced according to a reflection signal generated when the radar signal meets the object. The angle calibration module, by referring to the image angle, correspondingly calibrates the radar angle. Therefore, the radar angle is immediately calibrated.
