Abstract: An energy storage module includes: a cover member accommodating a plurality of battery cells in an internal receiving space, each of the battery cells including a vent; a top plate coupled to a top of the cover member and including a duct corresponding to the vent of at least one of the battery cells; a top cover coupled to a top of the top plate and having an exhaust area corresponding to the duct, the exhaust area having a plurality of discharge openings, the top cover including a protrusion protruding from a bottom surface of the top cover, the protrusion extending around a periphery of the exhaust area and around a distal end of the duct; and an extinguisher sheet between the top cover and the top plate, the extinguisher sheet being configured to emit a fire extinguishing agent at a reference temperature.

Abstract: A remote monitoring method and system enables the moving picture data being captured at Place 1 to be monitored remotely at Place 2 real time, and more particularly for example to a method and a system, wherein the moving pictures are taken with a web camera installed on the computer (PC, in general) at Place 1 and, upon request for receiving the contents of the moving pictures through the Mobile Browser (WAP or WEB pages) on the mobile VOD (Video On Demand) terminal at Place 2, the moving picture data are remotely monitored at the VOD Terminal Client by way of the streaming server.

Abstract: A rinse water heating device for a dish washer includes a water tank for storing a rinse water used for washing dishes, a rinse water tank divided from the water tank by a separation plate positioned at a lower portion of the water tank, partitions installed in the rinse water tank to form a rinse water guide path in a zigzag pattern, a heater installed along the rinse water guide path, and an inlet pipe installed to introduce water in the water tank into the rinse water tank. The water tank and the rinse water tank are divided from each other, so this device may subsequently heat a small amount of water in the rinse water tank within a short time. Therefore, the rinse water heating device allows an automatic dish washer to wash dishes with enhanced sterilizing, cleaning and drying abilities, thereby ensuring effective rinsing and washing.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for retrieving multimedia data using shape information. The multimedia data retrieval apparatus comprises a shape information feature extractor for receiving shape information of a query image and extracting a feature of the received shape information using a shape information descriptor based on eigen vectors of a multilayer covariance matrix, an image feature extractor for extracting a feature of each image data in the same manner as the shape information feature extractor, a multimedia database creator for creating a multimedia database on the basis of the features extracted by the image feature extractor, a similarity comparator for comparing the feature of the query image extracted by the shape information feature extractor with the features of the image data in the multimedia database to calculate similarities therebetween, and a compared result output unit for outputting the results calculated by the similarity comparator.

Abstract: A method for coding a digital interlaced moving video. Picture-unit overhead information is first transmitted and it is then determined whether a video packet to be coded is a first packet of a given picture. A video packet header including overhead information for an interlaced decoding operation is transmitted if the video packet is not the first packet of the given picture. If the video packet is the first packet of the given picture or after the video packet header is transmitted, it is determined whether the given picture is an intra picture. If the given picture is the intra picture, the video packet is coded and transmitted in an interlaced intra picture manner. The video packet is coded and transmitted in an interlaced inter picture manner if the given picture is not the intra picture. If the video packet is not a last packet of the given picture, a digital interlaced coding operation is repeatedly performed.

Abstract: A context probable table of context template is employed in order to interpolate binary picture information. The context template for respective pixels making up the binary picture information is made, and probabilities for the interior of an object and the exterior of the object on its context indexes are obtained from the context probable table arranged previously. The probabilities for the interior and exterior of the object are compared with each other and the binary picture information is interpolated with a value having more probability.

Abstract: A plurality of layers having other resolution are coded in order to encode scalably shape information. A base layer having the lower resolution is coded and transmitted to a decoder, and an enhancement layer is coded by employing a scan interleaving method from the base layer. A scan order of vertical and horizontal scannings is decided according to a generation frequency of TSD (transitional sample data) and ESD (exceptional sample data) and the number of coding bits on the base layer, or a type of boundary lines on images. When the scan order is decided, additional information indicating the scan order is transmitted to the decoder. The base layer is also coded and transmitted to the decoder. In case that the scan order is decided according to the horizontal and vertical of the boundary lines on an image of the base layer, it is no need to transmit the additional information indicating the scan order on the received base layer and execute the decoding in the same order as the coded scan order.
