  • Patent number: 6284709
Abstract: Disclosed is a composition useful for plant growth and vegetable preservation, comprising 2.25-5.13 moles of potassium silicate, 0.25-0.57 moles of sodium silicate and/or sodium hydroxy silicate, 1.98-5.59 moles of potassium carbonate, 0.22-0.51 moles of sodium carbonate and/or sodium bicarbonate, 0.25-0.75 moles of potassium chloride; and 0.45-0.84 moles of a reducing sugar. It can be prepared by solubilizing the components at such amounts in 1 liter of distilled water maintained at 80-90 ° C. through a sol-gel process, stirring the solution under the inflow of air while reducing the temperature of the solution to 18-90° C. at a rate of 4-6° C. per min, and allowing the resulting sol-gel phase to stand at room temperature for 24-36 hours. The composition stimulates the growth of plants as well as builds up the disease endurance of vegetables through its activity against plant bacteria. Also, it can restrain the soil from being acidified.

  • Patent number: 6214391
Abstract: A functional liquid feedstock additive that has conspicuous advantages of increasing the productivity of livestock, activating immune competent cells to enhance the immunity of livestock against diseases, and improve meats of livestock into unsaturated fatty acid-rich ones. It is prepared by homogeneously dissolving a composition comprising 5-12 g of calcium alumina silicate (CaOSiO2Al2O3), 5-12 g of sodium alumina silicate (Na2OAl2O3SiO2), 300-900 g of sodium silicate (Na2OSiO2), 400-1,200 g of potassium silicate (K2OSiO2), 200-600 g of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), 350-1,100 g of potassium carbonate (K2CO3), 250-800 g of sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), 10.8-2.5 g of zinc oxide, 0.4-4.5 g of germanium dioxide and 900-1,800 g of a reducing sugar in 1 liter of water under a flow of nitrogen gas with a redox potential being maintained in the range of −25 to 25 mV to give a gel phase and diluting the gel five-ten folds in water, and aging the gel at 20-35° C.

  • Patent number: 5958475
Abstract: A highly functional fermented fodder and a process for preparing the same. The fodder composition according to the present invention comprises an aqueous solution containing 300-700 g of at least one compound selected from sodium silicate and potassium silicate, 300-700 g of at least one compound selected from potassium carbonate and sodium carbonate, 2-8 g of titanium dioxide, 5-15 g of boron and 80-150 g of sugar in 1 liter of water; and 100 kg to 500 kg of fodder. The fodder according to the invention enhances immunity of domestic animals from diseases, without further addition of veterinary medicines such as antibiotic agent or antibacterial agent; induces increase of body weight of animals to increase income of livestock farmers; and provides, after slaughter, excellent fleshy substance which contains rich amount of essential unsaturated fatty acids, particularly, .omega.-3 type fatty acids.
