  • Publication number: 20210232408
Abstract: To provide a hierarchical visual paradigm while maintaining the communication advantages of sibling extensions, a visual hierarchy simulation extension generates and maintains placeholders in a visually hierarchical manner, with the visual positioning of such placeholders informing the visual positioning of overlays of frames hosting the visual output of sibling extensions. Such a visual hierarchy simulation extension is utilized to layout and establish a desired visual hierarchy. One or more modules of computer-executable instructions are invoked to provide the relevant functionality, including the obtaining of the visual positioning of placeholders, the relevant visual translation between the visual positioning of placeholders and the visual overlaying of corresponding frames, the generation and movement of the corresponding frames, and the instantiation of extension content within the corresponding frames. The visual hierarchy simulation extension is hosted independently from the one or more modules.

  • Publication number: 20110126761
Abstract: A Siemens type CVD reactor device is provided. One or more radiation shields are disposed between a rod filament and a cooled wall in the reactor. The radiation shield absorbs radiant heat emanating from the heated polysilicon rod during the CVD process, gets heated above 400° C., re-radiate the absorbed heat toward both of the polysilicon rod and the cooled wall, so as to provide thermal shielding effect to the cooled wall. The net energy loss of the polysilicon rod is reduced as much as the amount of energy emitted toward the polysilicon rod from the radiation shield, such that considerable amount of electrical energy of the CVD reactor is reduced and saved. The energy reduction rate goes up much higher if using multiple layered radiation shields, low shielding emissivity, and low thermal conductivity together. The purity of the manufactured polysilicon can be maintained by using thermal shielding material that is stable in a high temperature such as graphite, silicon carbide-coated graphite, and silicon.

  • Patent number: 6381400
Abstract: A method for controlling the speed of a capstan motor in a video cassette recorder (VCR) includes modulating a capstan frequency generating (CFG) signal into a pulse signal. Time intervals corresponding to one of a rising edge to a next rising edge and a falling edge to a next falling edge of the pulse signal are calculated. The calculated time intervals are compared to a target time to obtain a difference therebetween. A rotation speed of the capstan motor is compensated based on the obtained difference to control the rotation speed of the capstan motor.

  • Patent number: 6363206
Abstract: A method for controlling tracking position during low-speed reproducing in a video cassette recorder (VCR) which provides noise suppression noise and increased image quality. In one aspect, in a VCR having a pair of main heads for reproducing video signals from a recording medium at a normal operating speed associated with said VCR, a method for controlling tracking position when reproducing at speeds lower than the normal speed comprises the steps of: detecting a period of an envelope waveform of a video signal which is reproduced by the pair of main heads; generating a pseudo head switching pulse (PHSP) signal in accordance with the detected period; and tracing a tracking position at a position where a voltage level of the envelope waveform is the largest within one period of the PHSP signal.

  • Patent number: 6292622
Abstract: A method for low-speed reproducing in a video cassette recorder (VCR) having a pair of main heads for normal-speed reproducing and at least a pair of additional heads neighboring said main heads is disclosed. A period which is regularly repeated from an envelope waveform of a video signal reproduced by said main heads is detected. The voltage level of the detected envelope waveform is then compared with a voltage level of the envelope waveform detected by the additional heads by generating a pseudo head switching pulse for switching the operation state of said main heads and additional heads according to the detected period. And, a reproduced signal from one of the said main and additional heads which has the envelope waveform having a high voltage level detected, thereby reproducing a high quality continuous time varying image without a noise.

  • Patent number: 6173111
Abstract: A capstan phase control method during slow playback and the servo system of a VCR adopting the same, for phase-controlling a capstan motor so that a slow motion picture can be viewed without having noise during slow playback of the VCR. The capstan phase control method and the servo system employing the same, sets a sampling frequency of a reference control signal corresponding to desired slow playback on the basis of a head switching signal, judges whether a phase of the reference control signal having the set sampling frequency is identical with that of the control signal read via a head from the tape, and controls the phase of the capstan motor so that the phase of the read control signal is identical with that of the reference control signal on the basis of the judgement result. Accordingly, since the capstan motor can be phase-controlled and speed-controlled during slow playback, a tracking control can be performed so that noise does not appear on a screen.
