Abstract: A device and a method for compensating for temperature fluctuations for maintaining the warmth of a cooker having an inverter circuit, which has a system controller which obtains a final compensation data by processing a temperature compensation data outputted from a compensation temperature selection section and a present temperature detected by a temperature detecting section. The system controller outputs a driving signal to drive a bottom heater, a top heater, and a side heater of the cooker according to a calculated final compensation data.

Abstract: A method of controlling cooking in a microwave oven or an electronic cooking appliance, wherein the cooking can be performed at the optimum condition by sensing a sonic level through a sonic sensor in the case where the cooking is made utilizing a pressure container which produces a sound upon exhausting vapor therefrom. A temperature sensor is provided in addition to the sonic sensor. The heating control is performed to gratify both of the two conditions of the sonic sensor and temperature sensor. To avoid a mis-operation due to noises from a fan motor, a turntable motor and a magnetron, the fan motor, turn-table motor and magnetron are stopped temporarily. Under this condition, the sonic level is sensed once more and the heating control is performed on the basis of the once more sensed sonic level.

Abstract: A power relay for a switching control device of a microwave oven, designed to prolong the life of the power relay by alternately carrying out the drive of the power relay used for controlling the power in a microwave oven at the positive (+) cycle and the negative (-) cycle of the alternating current input voltage, respectively. The output signal of the 50 Hz/60 Hz clock generator for generating the clock signal corresponds to the frequency of the alternating current input voltage and is combined with the output signal of the power relay ON/OFF generator. The power relay ON/OFF control part is composed so as to alternately realize the ON-point and the OFF-point of power relay at the positive cycle and the negative cycle of the alternating current input voltage, respectively, so that no potential difference takespace in one direction between contact of the power relay, and the life is thereby prolonged.
