Abstract: A method and device for receiving a digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) signal in a wireless terminal where an external antenna is detachable from the wireless terminal, an internal antenna is embedded in the wireless terminal, a switch connects one of the external antenna and the internal antenna to a DMB receiver. The DMB receiver receives a DMB signal through one of the external antenna and the internal antenna. A controller controls the switch to connect the internal antenna and transmit the DMB signal to the DMB receiver when the external antenna is detached from the wireless terminal and controls the switch to connect the external antenna to the DMB receiver and transmit the DMB signal to the DMB receiver, when the external antenna is attached to the wireless terminal.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for automatically matching a frequency of an antenna in a wireless terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a duplexer for classifying frequencies transmitted/received through the antenna of the wireless terminal, transmitting the reception frequency received in the antenna to an automatic matching module, and transmitting a transmission frequency, which is received from the automatic matching module, to the antenna; the automatic matching module for automatically matching impedance for the reception frequency received from the duplexer, transmitting the impedance-matched reception frequency to an amplifier, automatically matching impedance for the transmission frequency received from the amplifier, and transmitting the impedance-matched transmission frequency to the duplexer; and a controller for controlling the automatic matching module to automatically match the impedance for the transmission/reception frequencies.

Abstract: Disclosed is an accessory for a portable wireless terminal. In the accessory, a locking unit is connected to the portable wireless terminal with a string for being jointly carried with the portable wireless terminal, and a speaker module is detachably attached to the locking unit. The speaker module is detached from the locking unit and inserted to an ear jack of the portable wireless terminal to use an external speaker. Since the speaker module is attachable to the accessory connected to the portable wireless terminal, the speaker module can be jointly carried with the portable wireless terminal when it is not used.
