  • Patent number: 9719003
Abstract: Disclosed are a suspension fluid and a method for preparing the suspension fluid. Particularly, the suspension fluid is prepared by dispersing fumed silica particles in a solvent that includes one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol, and water. The phase-change suspension fluid obtained from the present invention is a shear thickening fluid that have a constant Newtonian behavior at a low rate of shear or a low frequency band, and further have a non-Newtonian behavior as a solid-like suspension at a high rate of shear or a high frequency band due to an increase in viscosity. In addition, the phase-change suspension fluid may reversibly change its phase with vibration of a vehicle, thereby providing advantages of both of the hydro bushes and the solid type bushes.

  • Publication number: 20160352109
Abstract: Disclosed is a battery management unit for setting a communication identifier through the frequency of a start signal. The battery management unit according to the present invention analyzes the frequency of a received start signal. If the frequency of the start signal is a fundamental frequency, the battery management unit sets itself as a master unit. If the frequency of the start signal is not the fundamental frequency, the battery management unit sets itself as a slave unit. In addition, when outputting a start signal to another neighboring battery management unit, the battery management unit according to the present invention outputs the start signal by modulating the frequency of the start signal into a frequency produced by adding an additional frequency value to the frequency as received in the battery management unit.

  • Patent number: 9488977
Abstract: A power storage system includes n number of slave BMSs for transmitting data associated with an electric characteristic value of battery cells, included in battery modules managed by the slave BMSs, through slave communication networks; m number of master BMSs for primarily processing the data associated with an electric characteristic value of battery cells, transmitted through the slave communication networks, and transmitting the primarily processed data through a master communication network; and a super master BMS for secondarily processing the data transmitted through the master communication network. Since the data transmitted from each slave BMS are processed in a master BMSs, the amount of data loaded on a communication line may decrease. Therefore, even though the capacity of a power storage system increases, rapid data collection and data control may be achieved.
