    Abstract: An apparatus for recognizing a frequency of an electric power being applied to an electric/electronic device for preventing an error operation of the electric/electronic device generated when the frequency of power supply to be applied differs from the operating frequency determined at the time of manufacture of the electric/electronic device. The apparatus has a power transformer for transforming commercial alternating current power supply to a driving voltage of the device, a period detecting section for shaping a wave form of output of the power transformer, and simultaneously generating a period detecting signal at every period of that output wave form, and a control section for counting a number of times said period detecting signal is generated during a predetermined time period, whereby the frequency of the applied power supply on basis of the number of times.

    Abstract: The present invention relates a laser diode array and its manufacturing method. After formation of V-channels on an N-type GaAs substrate, each layer is formed by molecular beam epitaxy technique. By using that Si acts as P-type dopant on {111} A surface of V-channel, while acting as N-type dopant on {100} surface of the outside of V-channel, a laser array structure is improved. Thus, the present invention is useful in obtaining stable optical output efficiency and mode control, yield improvement, reproducibility, and high output laser beam.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a discrete drive system for a skid steer loader comprising a pair of independent transmission cases interconnected by a plate member at a spaced relationship. The transmission cases enclose chain and sprocket drives for the loader and have the axle housings outwardly extending from the outer side walls thereof. A pair of gear reduction means are mounted on the inner side walls of the transmission cases to provide a drive power to the front and rear stub axles at reduced speeds. The gear reduction means incorporates an improved brake device including a circular drum secured to the reduction gear, a flexible band wound around the drum and an eccentric cam shaft for actuation of the brake device. Coupled to the gear reduction means are a pair of hydrostatic motors having output shaft extending into the outer casings of the reduction means. Each of the output shafts has a tapering shape and terminates at its threaded end to facilitate the mounting of the pinion gear.
