  • Publication number: 20090185305
Abstract: A servo track writing method and a servo track write system of a hard disk drive (HDD) using the servo track write method. The servo track writing method includes performing a reference check (R/C) on a first servo pattern which is pre-written on a first surface of a disk, and if the R/C determines that a quality of the first servo pattern is not good, erasing a specific area of the first servo pattern and writing a second servo pattern on a second surface of the disk. Therefore, process time delay factors of a series of rework processes of writing servo patterns on a disk are removed to shorten a process time of the rework processes. In addition, productivity of a HDD is improved.

  • Publication number: 20080219351
Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for predictive coding/decoding for improving a compression rate of multiview video using one or two additional reference frame buffers. The predictive encoding apparatus includes: a multiview reference picture providing unit for providing a reference picture for a predictive encoding according to temporal and spatial GOP structure information; a prediction unit for creating a vector by predicting which part of the reference picture inputted from the multiview reference picture providing unit is referred by a picture to currently encode; a transforming and quantizing unit for obtaining a difference signal between the predicted signal inputted from the prediction unit and a picture signal to currently encode, transforming the obtained difference signal, quantizing the transformed signal, and compressing the quantized signal; and an entropy encoding unit for encoding the quantized signal and the vectors according to a predetermined scheme and outputting the encoded signal.

  • Publication number: 20080126518
Abstract: Provided are a system, mobile terminal, and method for storing data into a web storage using a wireless LAN service. The method includes setting synchronization of the mobile terminal and a web server providing a web storage service; setting data of the mobile terminal to be stored into a web storage provided by the web server; sensing whether the mobile terminal enters a wireless LAN service area; connecting, if it is sensed that the mobile terminal enters a wireless LAN service area, the mobile terminal to the web server; and transmitting the set mobile terminal data to the web server.

  • Patent number: 7356998
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a flash tank of a two-stage compression heat pump system that can perform cooling and heating with a separate type intercooler and a high-stage compressor protecting device. The system comprises a fluid-level detecting sensor for detecting the fluid-level of the refrigerant, an alarm sensor for notifying the saturated state of the refrigerant filled in the flash tank, an evaporator pressure sensor for measuring and notifying the pressure of the refrigerant flowing into the evaporator, a condenser pressure sensor for measuring and notifying the pressure of the refrigerant flowing out of the condenser, a flash tank fluid-level controller for receiving signals from the above sensors and controlling intermediate pressure and the fluid-level of the flash tank, and a bypass valve controller for controlling a bypass valve that receives signals from the alarm sensor and allowing a refrigerant to directly flow from the low-stage compressor to the high-stage compressor.
