  • Publication number: 20170144907
Abstract: An apparatus for photo oxidation reaction in accordance with an aspect of the present invention includes: a reactor including a housing having a hollow space extended therein in a lengthwise direction and having openings formed at either end thereof in the lengthwise direction so as to open the hollow space to an outside, an inlet header having an inlet formed thereon for communication with the hollow space, and an outlet header having an outlet formed thereon for communication with the hollow space; a quartz tube formed to be extended along the lengthwise direction of the housing and installed in the reactor so as to be arranged inside the housing; an ultraviolet lamp inserted in the quartz tube; and a hydrogen peroxide supply unit installed so as to disperse and supply hydrogen peroxide to the hollow space at a plurality of locations separated in the lengthwise direction of the housing.

  • Patent number: 8926842
Abstract: A water treatment system using a high pressure advanced oxidation process with unreacted ozone reusing is disclosed, which are able to increase a decomposition speed of a pollutant by reusing a high pressure advanced oxidation process which uses an ozone and photocatalyst and a photo-oxidation reaction of a ultraviolet ray. The capacity of the expensive ozone generator can be reduced as compared to the conventional advanced oxidation process which uses a large capacity ozone generator in which almost ozone is discharged into the air. In addition, it is possible to decrease the load of the off-gas ozone removing apparatus for removing the off-gas ozone which is discharged into the air.

  • Patent number: 7230255
Abstract: The present invention provides a photocatalyst sterilizer (200) which draws thereinto water, contained in a water tank (120) and polluted by bacilli and various organic substances, regardless of a water level in the water tank (120) and sterilizes the polluted water using violet rays and through a photocatalyst reaction, thus enhancing a sterilizing ability thereof, and which is easily installed and efficiently used in various appliances, which are necessary to execute sterilizing processes, for example, hot and cold water generators, hot and cold water purifiers, tap water purifiers to be directly coupled to faucet pipes, edible water purifiers, and aquariums.

  • Publication number: 20060247121
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing an activated carbon structure having an excellent absorption capability and strength. The method includes the steps of adding a carbon fiber as a reinforcing material in an activated carbon, molding an activated carbon mixture mixed with the activated carbon having the carbon fiber and pitch as a binder in a mold having a frame, and carbonating the activated carbon mixture, so that the activated carbon structure includes the frame. The frame is made by a metal to be proof against the carbonating step of the activated carbon mixture and has various shapes according to purposes.
