  • Patent number: 6531808
Abstract: A beam index type cathode ray tube having a screen divided into a plurality of areas and a plurality of electron guns corresponding to the divided screen areas. The beam index type cathode ray tube includes a tube of which inner atmosphere is maintained in a vacuum state and a screen formed at one side of an inner surface of the tube. The screen has phosphor stripes and index stripes. A plurality of electron guns are mounted in the tube facing the screen and a plurality of deflectors are mounted on the tube corresponding to the electron guns to deflect electron beams which are radiated from the electron guns to the screen. A plurality of detectors are mounted on the tube corresponding to the electron guns to sense lights emitted from the index stripes.

  • Patent number: 6512328
Abstract: A laser CRT includes a vacuum bulb provided with a metal flange, and a laser screen secured in the metal flange and having a laser target mounted on the side of the vacuum bulb. A high-voltage input passes through the wall of the vacuum bulb at a distance from the metal flange, the laser target being electrically insulated from the metal flange and connected to the high-voltage input through an electrically conductive element disposed inside the vacuum bulb. The laser CRT further includes two screening electrodes mounted inside the vacuum bulb in the interspace between the wall of the vacuum bulb, the metal flange, the high-voltage input and the electrically conductive element, the screening electrodes being respectively connected to the high-voltage input and to the metal flange and extending from them towards each other so as to prevent electrical discharges between the metal flange and the high-voltage input and between the metal flange and the electrically conductive element in the interspace.

  • Patent number: 6472833
Abstract: A laser CRT includes a cathode, a modulator having an orifice for forming an electron beam from the electrons emitted by the cathode, and a beam directing unit directing the electron beam formed by the orifice of the modulator to the laser screen of the laser CRT. To reduce the diameter of the electron beam and to thereby improve the resolution of the laser CRT, the laser CRT includes at least one other modulator having an orifice for forming another electron beam from the electrons emitted by the cathode, the beam directing unit being adapted for directing the other electron beam formed by the at least one other modulator to the laser screen.

  • Publication number: 20010030504
Abstract: A beam index type cathode ray tube having an improved alignment of index stripes, phosphor stripes and matrix stripes. An alignment of the index stripes, the color stripes and the matrix stripes is confirmed during an exposure processing state of the index stripes by using confirming points formed in the screen. An exposed state of the screen is determined by optically testing an alignment of the confirming points and a master screen. On determining that a misalignment exists, the relative positions of the screen and the master screen are adjusted to remove the misalignment.
