Abstract: An electronic cigarette in which, in a state where a cover part is separated from a body part, thereby exposing a cartridge part to the outside, a current flows toward the cartridge part when a user presses a button formed on the electronic cigarette, and thus gas may be generated, but, in a state where the cover part is coupled to the body part, thereby covering the cartridge part, the current is prevented from flowing toward the cartridge, and thus the problem where the gas is generated as a result of the current being supplied toward the cartridge part by the button being pressed against the intention of the user is prevented, electrical discharge of the electronic cigarette as a result of unnecessary power consumption is prevented, and the cartridge part may be sterilized for a predetermined time from the time point when the cover part is coupled to the body part.

The device includes a casing having an opening, a manipulation unit moved up and down in the casing by a user's manipulation, an opening and closing unit operated in conjunction with the up-and-down movement of the manipulation unit to open or close the opening, and a fixing unit intended to prevent the manipulation unit from deviating from a predetermined course when the manipulation unit is moved up and down, so that a structure where the opening is opened or closed by the opening and closing unit operated in conjunction with the manipulation unit is simplified, thus reducing a failure in the device, enabling easy repair, and allowing an interior space of the casing to be efficiently used.

When the electronic cigarette is not being used, the cartridge can be positioned inside the housing in order to prevent the cartridge from being contaminated by impurities such as dust and the cartridge can be sterilized by UV radiation emitted from the UV lamp.

Abstract: A portable charging device for an electronic cigarette includes: a main body having a first seat part electrically connected to a battery of an electronic cigarette, and a second seat part electrically connected to a smoke generating part of the electronic cigarette; a cap detachably attached to the main body and covering an inhaling bit of the smoke generating part, and sterilizing the inhaling bit; and an operation unit electrically connected to the first seat part, the second seat part, and the cap, and controlling the charging of the battery, the operation of the smoke generating part, and the sterilization of the electronic cigarette. Thus, the portable charging device can easily generate smoke while charging the battery of the electronic cigarette and can sterilize the electronic cigarette during a process of charging the battery of electronic cigarette.
