  • Patent number: 9807058
Abstract: Techniques and devices for circumventing wireless data monitoring in communications between a communication device and a proxy server, as well as systems and techniques for detecting and resolving vulnerabilities in wireless data monitoring systems are described herein. The techniques for circumventing wireless data monitoring may include manipulating a routing table of a communication device, encapsulating data in an unmonitored protocol, and transmitting the encapsulated data in a “bearer,” or communications channel, to a proxy server that fulfills requests included in the encapsulated data. Furthermore, the techniques for detecting and resolving network vulnerabilities may include restricting protocols by bearers in an Access Control List, limiting a bandwidth of a bearer, or protecting a routing table in a secure location of the communication device.

  • Publication number: 20170149626
Abstract: The remote analysis of mobile device quality of experience diagnostic files includes analyzing diagnostic files. A diagnostic driver application resident at the mobile device is remotely activated to generate and send diagnostic files to one or more network resident servers for analysis. The diagnostic files may be analyzed to determine the mobile device quality of experience, and to determine a root cause and geographic and/or network location of a problem, such as dropped calls or poor data connectivity. In some embodiments, the diagnostic files may be aggregated to form a database of aggregated diagnostics, which can be used to further analyze a telecommunications network to determine the root cause of a network problem.

  • Publication number: 20160112894
Abstract: The techniques described herein involve determining a context-based Quality of Experience based upon client device Quality of Experience diagnostic files in combination with client device equipment dynamics. Client device Quality of Experience (QoE) diagnostic files may indicate a reduced QoE at a client device, such as reduced signal strength or an increased number of dropped packets. User behavior during a reduced QoE event may be reflected as equipment dynamics, which may be included in equipment dynamics files. A service provider may receive information from the client device and may analyze the information to determine, with an increased confidence level, that the user device experiences a reduced QoE. Network resources may be allocated in response to the reduced QoE determination, thereby increasing a functioning of the computing network and an associated device's Quality of Experience.

  • Publication number: 20150326447
Abstract: The techniques described herein involve analysis of client device Quality of Experience diagnostic files including an operations log or diagnostic files for a client device. The client device Quality of Experience diagnostic files may be generated by a client device and sent to a network node for analysis. The diagnostic files may be analyzed to determine device Key Performance Indicators and a device Quality of Experience, and to determine a root cause of a network problem (such as dropped calls) leading to a diminished Quality of Experience. In some embodiments, the diagnostic files may be aggregated to form a database of aggregated diagnostics, which can be used to further analyze a network to determine the root cause of a network problem. In some embodiments, the aggregated diagnostics may be indexed according to location, time, device type, device problem, or access technology.

  • Patent number: 8631144
Abstract: A system reduces latency associated with accessing multiple sources of content provided to a mobile device. In one implementation, a streaming server receives multiple live encoded streams and makes the received encoded streams available to the mobile device. The mobile device instructs the streaming server as to which received encoded streams to provide to the mobile device. When the instructions indicate that the mobile device is requesting a different encoded stream, such as by using PAUSE and PLAY buttons on the mobile device, the streaming server switches the content streamed to the mobile device and provides the newly desired content to the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20100089499
Abstract: A metal coated with ceramic and a method manufacturing the same. The metal contains chromium. A buffer layer is disposed on the metal, and a silicon carbide (SiC) coating layer is disposed on the buffer layer. The buffer layer has a thermal expansion coefficient between those of the metal and the SiC coating layer. The method includes annealing a metal containing chromium to form a chromium oxide layer on the metal, dissolving polycarbosilane (PCS) in a solvent to form a PCS coating solution, coating the chromium oxide layer with the PCS solution, and annealing the to form an SiC coating.

  • Publication number: 20080301317
Abstract: A method and system of streaming content media files uses a Portable Terminal. In the event of streaming multiple content files in a mobile environment, the method combines multiple content files into one streaming file through the Playlist Generator provided for the Streaming Server and then streams the entire file at once to a Portable Terminal in order to resolve problems with the existing technology, wherein after streaming for 1 content file is all completed, one must request the Streaming Server for another session again in order to stream subsequent content files.
